It's been discussed ad nauseam. There is zero-point-zero percent chance he will be fired if he doesn't make the playoffs this season, or the next season, or the next season, or the next season.

You alone have made 4 topics in 6 days talking about firing the coach. Do you need attention?

Apparently you must need the attention because that is incorrect. If you don’t like the topic, get out of it.

Yes, but ONLY because of his buy-out!

What has BK really accomplished since taking over at LSU? For those that say he has "stabilized", that's a fair assessment. But then the conversation quickly moves to has he recruited AND DEVELOPED to the level of previous 20 years? With the changes into the NIL era, he "BOUGHT" an improved defense. Honestly, what coach couldn't have done that? He brought JD5 here and he was developed into a Heisman QB, yet we still never made the playoffs. Our running game is atrocious, we even had our OL get drafted last year and we were just as bad running with them.

Under BK, we have yet to field a moderately complete team. I'm talking about an average team in all 3 phases of the game. His teams here are always SEVERELY lacking in one area or another.

Again, his BUYOUT is the ONLY reason he'll make it as long as he does here. Without that buyout, he probably is on the hot seat next year and is fired the year after.

Don’t really have a choice. The money is not there to fire him…yet.

The money is always there. Do you not realize how much money is actually in the Baton Rouge/Nola area? If certain groups want him gone, it can happen.

He could lose every remaining game and not be fired

If that happens, he should be fired, but unfortunately he won't be.

This is true. And when you factor in how well Baton Rouge businesses do when LSU fields an even marginally competitive team, and how horrible they do when LSU sucks….the money becomes available.

People forget so easily how bad off this program was when CBK got here legally and competitively. This program shart the bed the year after a natty and doubled down the next year with a just a crappy performance. The cupboard was bare, OL Coach Brad Davis coached the bowl game we didn’t even have a healthy scholarship quarterback on the roster that wasn’t bailing on us and we barely had enough scholarship players to field a team for the Texas Bowl.

Am I disappointed so far this year? Damn right I am. I thought we were over the hump beating Clemson but now our Quarterback is either hurt or lazy and immature.

Now we are going to see what CBK is made of and if we don’t make the playoffs this year the boiling pot is hot and he’s swimming in it.

No, there's zero reason to even bring it up.

We’re not making the playoffs next season.

This season is BK’s best shot.

In the portal/NIL era, you can’t say that. We could easily go out and buy what we need and compete at a high level in 2026.

And we will (go out and buy what we need…. Including a new offensive staff)

I believe he is out with 3 losses and one of loses against is Alabama and they jump us in the playoffs. That is absolutely unacceptable!

If LSU loses every game left on the schedule, Kelly will be retained.

Some of you need to get your heads out of your asses. You can hate the man more than anything but that's not going to change the fact his buyout is absolutely insurmountable right now.

People need to come to terms that Kelly os LSU’s coach, win or lose. Best settle in.
