Too many mid week losses that some say “doesn’t mean anything “. Only conference games count...

So you’re saying that beating #150-250 ranked RPI teams would’ve helped us?

Too inconsistent hitting the ball! They may score 12 runs on 16 hits one game and the next game they can't buy a hit. Been this way the whole season. I guess you can say they have been consistently inconsistent!

If we were better midweek, we would have been better in the weekends too.

I still can’t remember a year where I thought winning a few extra midweek games would have changed how we finished the entire year. Maybe I’ve missed something.

... but we're LSU, and the whole fricking world knows mid-week games don't matter

Losing midweek is not as bad as losing a game to UF and Mizzou (2), and bama. We should have won those four games, IMO.

LSU WILL HOST

And we won’t be the 16 or 15 either

Tell me which of these things would have put us in a better hosting position.

A - LSU wins 4 more of its midweek games. LSU finishes 17-13 in conference play.

B - LSU doesn't blow saves against Arkansas, Auburn and wins those two. LSU completes the epic comeback against Ole Miss. Finishes with a 20-10 SEC record, but the same midweek record.

In one of these scenarios, LSU is SEC West Champs, and a national seed. In the other they are a few ticks higher in RPI, and have a slightly better resume to be considered a host site. Can you figure out which is which?

Y’all are a bunch of whiny self defeating wimps. We went 3-2 in Hoover. Calm the frick down. We will host and we will be AT LEAST the 14 seed

There's a lot of irony in all the taunting threads about "midweek games don't matter."

The unpopular truth here is even if LSU goes undefeated in midweeks and nothing else changes, we are exactly where we are now.

No chance at a national seed, but hosting.

So yes, after all of the arguments, mid-week games did not matter much.

No it won’t be. We will host easily. It’s between:

A&M
Ole Miss
North Carolina
NC State

For the last 2 spots

UCLA, Vandy, State, Georgia, Arkansas, Georgia Tech, Louisville, Texas Tech, ECU, Ok State, Stanford, WVU, LSU, and Oregon State will all be in as hosts for the first 14.

The other 2 spots are what is up for grabs

Dumb. There's a big difference in being the 9/10/11 seed and the 14/15/16.

We won’t be 14-15-16

More like 12-13-14
