If LSU decided to build a new basketball arena..

Would you be in favor of a small intimate arena like auburn
The fans are right on the court but the draw back is a lot of fans can’t attend when the team is really good

They really should reconfigure the rollaway lower level seats so that they’re closer to the floor.

I wouldn't mind it, have said for a while they just need to build a new arena, there's only so much you can do to improve the PMAC

That's not what I'm worried about... That'll happen, however, the pmac leg room is atrocious, the seats are a long way from the Court, and the upper concourse isn't great

Agree, it goes away from the court.
It should go up steeper instead of out.

Yep, but that's A LOT of work to do on an old arena anyways, may just be easier to build a new one

I would hate to be one of those teams with a 8k seat arena. That would suck. Needs to stay around 15k

If you were in the PMAC during the 80's, you wouldn't complain. Place was rocking. The problem is not the building, it is the lack of a competitive team for an extended period of time and pu$$y modern fans. Students and adult fans were much better 30 years ago. People are soft now and need an artificial stimulus to get them enthusiastic. Am I the only one who hates DJ Cmax or whatever he is called?

PMAC has been reduced from 14,410 (1972) to 13,200 (now). I hear we will reduce capacity even more by adding boxes on the sidecourt upper sections.
If we were to build a new arena, it could incorporate closer seats and still be bigger than the 9100 of Auburn Arena. It should not be smaller than the 13,200 we have now. Note: I went to two LSU games in AU arena and the crowd was not impressive. Now that they are winning, that arena is loud. WINNING makes fans LOUD.

Wade wants a new arena out near the softball complex for him and DD. Alleva promised the administration would be behind him with several things and no one has kept their word yet.

Would be a lot of pissed off people shut out of Friday Night Flights. Gymnastics has no problem filling up the place.
There is nothing wrong with the PMAC. Repeat there is nothing wrong with the PMAC. It is called the Deaf Dome for a reason.
