Huh? I wouldn't advise he do that......SEC fans can get rowdy especially if they perceive his leaving as a betrayal. I was never so proud of TigerNation as when Nick Saban left LSU for an NFL coaching job. He politely sat and signed autographs for waiting Tiger fans. On their part, Tiger fans waited, silently, in line to say goodbye and get an autograph. No hard feelings.

So as far as Lane Kiffin's decision to accept the coaching job (immediately) at LSU he has to make the decision he feels best for himself and his family. I may be wrong, but I get the feeling his kids (especially those two girls) have come down with a strong case of Tiger-mania. Yep, once you get the fever.....you're hooked. Not surprising, since Tiger Stadium on a Saturday night in the fall is almost hypnotic. Especially now with all the amazing lighting upgrades.

Regardless, I wish him well. I love LSU Football and the SEC.

Have another well-deserved downvote. Coaches don’t do that.

Tell us you’re a casual without telling us.

While no way that happens here it has happened before. Brian Kelly actually coached Central Michigan in their championship game then coached Cincinnati in their bowl game after taking the job.

The scenario you’re describing has never happened

Funny enough, Brian Kelly did it.

He left CMU in 2006 and coached Cincinnati in the International Bowl.

Sonny Dykes coached SMU in the Frisco Bowl after leaving Cal.
