If he does that and turns to crap the rest of the game, then it's not enough to shake them off.

Yeah because 1 TD drive will make up for the 20+ 3 and outs , the countless bad throws of 3 yds on 3rd and 7 , all the Int's that led to opponet points and many times he looks like he has no clue . Nicepost dumbass

If JJ plays like Cam Newton the rest of the season, there are those who would still say he should be benched.

He has NOT THROWN A TD PASS SINCE THE FIRST WEEK OF THE SEASON! HE SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was a person that was hoping against hope that he was going to have a good season. He should not be starting, PERIOD! Lee should be getting at least 90% of the snaps. We already know what we have in Jefferson, and it is not enough. Give Lee the reins and let him get settled in. He has to be able to develop a rhythm.

I have a feeling that we will pick up Mettenberger (sp?) and Jefferson will still fumble and bumble his way into playing 80% of the time next year.

I think you got your answer. No they would not.

I personally would like to see either

1) Lee get the start and allowed to play the whole game. I'm not sure if that would give us a better chance to win. But it would probably provide a few pretty throws and who knows might energize the O.
or
2) If they play JJ, just run him more heavily and see if he can really be a running QB. Just throw a few passes in to mix it up but mostly keep it running.

If that were true then Miles should be fired just for putting us and the team through all of this angst and stress.

I was having this discussion with one of my buddies the other day! If I were Mettenberger, I don't know if I would sign with LSU. It's obvious that Les and JJ are gay lovers. There is no other reason that he would still be starting. That means that Mett would have to sit next year behind a far inferior QB!(Hopefully he does committ though)

Dang. I know you're a recent registered user but throwing away 600+ posts like that? Ah well, to each his own.

JJ has already shown us what he can do

a TD pass from him would be lucky at this point

Good morning JJ.

You will need a LOT more than just a TD drive for this fanbase to have any confidence in you.

Its called consistency... and not consistently bad, which is what you have been for all but 1 or 2 of our games.

If he stinks it up for 2/3 of the season and can't throw a TD pass for 6 straight games, will you finally admit that he should be benched?
