Will you view this season as a success or failure?

Although we are not going to Atlanta or the playoffs I would view this season as a success if he wins the Heisman. I just hate our defense is wasting one of the best offenses in NCAA history

Absolutely a success if we go 10-3 and Jayden wins the Heisman with this defense.

Would be great momentum heading into Year3 with a new DC

Definitely good thing to hang your hat on and should help in recruiting.

Lots of free advertising.

Depends on what your pre season expectations were. I think everyone is let down with 3 losses

We just don’t have any playmakers on defense. We either recruit and develop that side of the ball or it’ll be like this every year. House wasn’t this bad last year but he had better players. Just my opinion.

This season is not a success. We haven’t beaten one good team and have the worst defense in program history.

10-3 is a good season no matter what any idiot tries to argue. Not a great or special season but 10 wins has always been the bar. When people judge the success of lsu over the last 25 years they look at how many 10 win seasons

Heisman would be sweet also but win total is the measuring device

Success.

It'll always be one of those "if only" seasons though unfortunately.

It would be hard to consider a 10 win season with a Heisman winner (perhaps greatest QB in college football since Burrow) a 'failure' in and of itself.
But the lingering thought will always be *what could have been* if we only had a decent defense. So it is a failure in regards to what could have and should have been...

Yes, that would be a success. Jayden winning the Heisman would be huge.

Next year at this time, we would be completing for the 11 or 12th spot in the playoffs, with 3 losses, we would still be competing for a national championship. It’s going to be so nice.

Another heisman would be huge for the program. When people rank college programs they always list championships, bowls, wins, and heisman winners as criteria.
Not even to mention recruiting.

Missouri, 8-2, whose two losses have been to LSU and Georgia.

Missouri’s best win by far is vs Tennessee who got whipped by Florida and has no good wins themselves.

No. Has nothing to do with a successful season. Individual awards are just that.

Definitely successful if 10-3 also.

We need to win out in the regular season and win the bowl game for it to be a success in my opinion. 9-4 would be meeting expectations, but not if we lose to Aggie and win the bowl game to do so.

The Heisman has absolutely no bearing whatsoever on the season.

If we had a defense with a pulse, we’re discussing playing Georgia in Atlanta.
