I'd have said if we would've had 2 football championships and a baseball championship I'd call that a great 17 years. Add a Saints super bowl and we in South La have a lot to be grateful for. The pain of losing in the big game(s) makes the excitement of winning that much greater. Unfortunately for us we got the wins in before the losses.

6 titles + 1 runner up in 27 seasons. What other Div. 1 team can claim that ?
LSU has finished # 1 six seasons plus # 2 this season. No other program since 1990 has done done that. This doesn't include all years we finished season in top 10.
Great run this year. Mainieri showed me something this season. The players fought back and played hard.
