even if they manage to win this weekend, there is a 0% chance of them advancing to the championship series in Omaha.

Just an observation, downvote away

if there’s 0. % chance, then just let FSU win the series !

I can’t decide if it’s bad luck or if it’s time to really start questioning how we handle pitchers. The amount of injuries / sorenesss issues we’ve had over the past few years seems ridiculously high.

Of all the teams in the Supers, if I had to lose to any it would be FSU. Solely because of Martin. I always liked that dude, and hearing Theriot speak so highly of him made me like even more. Would be nice to see that guy finally win it all.

Probably true. Only way that could change is if Peterson somehow converts to a starter who could give you 75-90 pitches. The biggest chance would be if somehow Hilliard regained his Freshman All-American form from last year. He was the best weekend option for awhile last year.

Good chance they’re about to all be finished for the year.

Omaha experience would be big for the team next year, so it’s still worth the trip. But really takes the pressure off the rest of the weekend. Win or lose, no big deal

frick that.

Marceaux can be dominant and both Walker and Hilliard are capable of pitching 7 quality innings. They haven’t done it consistently lately, but IMO the ability is still there.

We can compete. Will we is a big maybe, but if we get there we do have a shot albeit not a great one perhaps.

I clicked on to compliment you on your optimism for being concerned with next week's pitching rotation until I read the rest of the thread.

Totally agree and if we can get help with Michigan, Oklahoma St, and Ole Miss I think we could get to the final.

To write this team off is pure stupidity, it’s LSU we all know weird shite happens this time of year for us

Not really, not this year anyway. Good yes, dominant no.

So going into Omaha with 1 good not great starter and 2 average starters, to go along with a pretty average offensive team. Not going to cut it

agree

And, he's finished. There's no chance he pitches again this year.

I would just like to know what was up with him yesterday? Did we ever get a clear answer?

If I were a betting man, I would say arm soreness

I’m not sure you understand what 0% means.

That being said...I though there was little chance we could get to the Supers with no left handed pitchers

Wow, that’s a really low probability prediction. Team should probably just quit now and save the time and money.

If our players actually think like this, they should all be cut and asked to go play elsewhere

Well no knock on Marceaux and Walker and Hilliard but we aren't winning it with them as the starters.
