If fans can’t be critical then we are just cheerleaders

I hate all these frauds saying that if you criticize a team that has now shown no ability to close games against quality teams then you are a ignorant, out of touch, bandwagon fan, etc.
Whether it’s football, basketball, baseball, it’s freedom of speech people. No one is calling them disgusting words nor should it result to that EVER. However, as an alum such as myself I’m well within my right to point out the fact we choked today and this team deserves to get ripped.
We have the talent, so we have the right to expect results period. Put up or shut up.

There’s no issue with that but there are fans that have real issues and complain and bitch regardless of the situation. That’s what upsets others who stay realistic and fair in their opinions. Constantly hearing these losers say “fire that coach” for every missed call or loss is exhausting.

The same right that you’re exercising by leveling criticism at a team you believe to be underperforming gives others the right to level criticism at you for expressing your views. By coming here, we’re all fair game.

This actually is happening. Maybe not disgusting, but calling a player a loser and talking about how much they suck. It’s not beneficial to anything. Nobody likes a loss, but most of us don’t lose sleep over it or expect to wake up to a coach being fired the next day, or else.

When people say "First game I watched all year, but..." then say something critical and they have 30 upvotes...stfu, you don't even watch the games.
Or how about at Halftime the team was winning. I was at the game and checked Tigerdroppings. I commented to my buddies "There are only 4 threads on the basketball game. I bet if we lose it will explode." Here the frick we are. The fanbase, in any sport, THRIVES on negativity.
People say outlandish things like "O'Neal and LeBlanc are better than Watford." Or just absolutely crush Watford because he had a bad game. Or crush Smart when he has a bad game. Or talk so much shite about our lottery pick SG.

Also, with basketball, this describes 98% of our fanbase. It's the 3rd most important sport to the fans and most will only casually tune it. Most honestly don't even know our players' names.

Wade is clearly a great recruiter (**) but a poor x and o and in-game tactician. That’s crystal clear to all but the blindest of homers.

Posts like that show how little some posters watch basketball. What did Chris Beard do from an x's and o's standpoint? McClung and Shannon were isolation 90% of the game. They played their arse off and so did LSU. McClung hit an off balance 3, then there was an airball that got tipped out to him and he hit one, then they stole the inbounds. Nothing about Tech's win was x's and o's
Is Wade some all-time coach in game strategies? No. But he's pretty solid. LSU has. top 20 efficiency rating on offense...how is that not a good x's and o's? LSU had 12 turnovers tonight and 8 of them were charges (most of which were absolute bullshite). LSU shot 43% and only had 12 turnovers against one of the best defensive team in the country
