Why can't people agree or disagree about what would happen in a hyposthetical situation. It's a sports message board, dude. What are you missing here?

The part I'm missing is that almost every thread on the first page is about the exact same thing.

Talking about a hypothetical situation is fine, it happens all the time. What's going on right now is like it's already set in stone.

I thought he did a solid job year. People acting like he was some epiphany are out of their minds. I don't think it would be an immediate unmitigated disaster, but I think we'd definitely take a step back and slowly fade further into irrelevance with that move. I'm sure someone will be here to call me miserable or melting or something soon

Then stand on that soapbox in those threads, not the one where I'm clearly not considering it a done deal.

Not in this thread. It says "if". People like me that are trying to actually discuss the hypothetical with words like "if" and "would".

Fair enough. I stand corrected. My mistake. Sincerely. I'm not here to make waves.

Yeah, my biggest issue is that Orgeron basically said last year that it was the same playbook as Cameron, just better playcalling... A big reason why that offense succeeded was Fournette/Guice, he won't have two All-SEC running backs next year.

I don’t even see how that makes since? How can promise the best coordinators in the country, hire a guy, fire the guy after one year, and promote Ensminger who nobody else in the country wants? If that doesn’t scream “I have no fricking clue as to what I’m doing” I don’t know what does.

That's the move of a head coach that nobody else wanted.

It was the same playbook because you can't change the offense 4 games into the season. They had to make the Cameron offense work as best they could, and they did a pretty solid job of this.

So, having said that, the scary thing is, what the hell does an Ensminger offense even look like? And can be come up with solid gamelans and offensive schemes from week to week to be successful? Maybe he can, but it's completely unknown at this point.

With the talent LSU has on its roster already, and the class we should end up with this cycle, we will be able to compete for a title. Some of our fans are so damn negative. We had a 9-3 season this year and could have a 10 win season after the bowl. Alot of our fans just don't like coach o and it shows. The negativity is uncalled for. We will be good next year.

Orgeron also said last season that he was going to hire an OC and give him full control of the offense. Was he lying then?

Unless you're one of those on the Rant that has magical "inside" information, you, nor anyone else, truly knows what went on between CEO and Canada. No one knows why Canada is leaving. Maybe Canada doesn't get along well w/ CEO or the rest of the staff? Maybe his wife hates it in BR? We do know he's not stayed at a job for very long.

Coaches don't always tell the truth, big dawg.

True. Are you saying you earnestly think Coach Ensminger wants to be the full time OC, Francis?
