and do it his way with integrity and hard work, would you want him at LSU?

I really like the way he is running things at UT. Not cutting corners and no bullshite. Now we just have to see if it will work in the SEC.

I hope Miles keeps winning 10+ games and is still here in 5.

I think he needs to grow up a bit and tell momma to STFU. I agree though he has UT on the right track and honestly think they will be in contention for the SEC title in 2012 or 2013.

I was a fan of Dooley's when he was at LaTech. Now I can't get the way he handled himself after the LSU game out of my head.

I would rather have him now than Miles. The future is bright for Dooley, Miles not so much

Dooley cannot recruit to UT the way they did in the 90s, just Nebraska and Notre Dame. There is not enough instate talent to support that team and he cannot recruit nationally there.

Volfan who do you think UT can reasonably get thats better?

Didnt every candidate spurn UT and thats how you ended up with Dooley in the first place?

Seriously Dooleys record at Tech wasnt that great and what has he done at Tenn that makes him better than Miles? We just freaking won 10 games with JJ as a starter. Miles just got us the number one Juco qb in the country people.

Trying to hire a coach on Jan. 15th is an extremely poor indicator of the attractiveness of a job. The ceiling at Tennessee is no lower than at LSU, the job just takes more work on the recruiting trail.

Why b/c i'm not a Miles supporter. He's seems to be a great man and great recruiter. I just look at the product he has put on the field the last 3 years. I'm sorry but the wins and losses just do'nt add up to all the talent we have. Dooley's future is bright and to take a bunch of freshman in the sec to a bowl game is very impressive. He will be one of the best coaches in the sec for years to come!

Volfan is right just because the guy worked for saban doesnt mean he is a great coach. Tenn could do better.

The talent level is not as far down as people think. We are 3 years removed from a division title and have the best young QB/OL/WR combo in the nation thanks to Lane and Co. If Dooley wins the East by 2012 and the SECCG by 2013, as he should with Lane's talent, hopefully UGA/NFL/etc. will make a mistake and we can hire a real coach.

Who in the hell is ever going to have a great record at tech. Why would some division one player want to to Ruston LA and play football
