He's not a good coach. That's why.

Saints fans aren't allowed to talk about good vs bad coaches as long as Sean Payton is in New Orleans. Sorry.

He's just entering job contacts for his unemployment benefits.
Except is pays slightly better, upwards of $133K per month. Nice to be on unemployment!

Miles was the beneficiary of a program where a huge wave of momentum was created by Nick Saban and Mark Emmert. That is THE ONLY REASON he won. His coaching style( like a cancer) slowly deteriorated this program to the state it is in today. Then they hire Orgeron

He's not a great coach. Mystery solved.

If Ed Orgeron was such a great coach why wouldn't anybody hire him? Oh yeah, LSU did, what a joke!!!

Les has to actively seek employment to receive his buyout.
And to think, if Alleva had the ability to objectively evaluate coaches, Miles wouldn't have a HUGE buyout to fall back on.
And still wouldn't be receiving offers

The only good job openings this year were Texas and Oregon. He wasn't getting either of those jobs.

He actually surfed that wave to more wins than his predecessor and don't forget he inherited half a recruiting class in '05.
In reality the wave crested in '03 and '04 ebbed to the level of the other 3 so-so seasons.
The difference is in fan perception of 3-4-5 loss seasons after the mostly miserable '90s, vs the mostly successful 2000s. Expectations.

He is 63.outside if nick saban, what 63 year old coach would be covetted?
How do you know what he has been offered?

Cause he's a shitty coach
I still dont understand the need to shite on miles. He was very successful here but failed to keep lsu at a level of success HE SET.

Coach Miles was not a very good Coach, the 2 loses in 07 to Kentucky and Arkansas with by far the most talented team in the country left by Satan proves that, The man would lose 2 games with Tom Brady as his QB

Why hasn't this topic been anchored yet?

LSU is sabotaging the interviews so they can hire Les as interim head coach when they fire O after the first four games of next year.
Posted on 12/13/16 at 1:54 pm to demtigers73
his supporters all will say his age is the reason...well why in the hell did we have him locked down so long
Posted on 12/13/16 at 2:00 pm to demtigers73
Maybe he thinks he can land at a big time, high profile program again and hasn't come to the realization yet that he's going to have to settle for a G5 school or lower tier P5 if he wants to be HC again.
Posted on 12/13/16 at 2:33 pm to demtigers73
His asking price is likely pretty high, considering what LSU was paying him.
