Just mirror/copy what the Rams did with their OL and the Bengals will WIN the next Super Bowl.

I hate to say it, but QBs generally don’t look great when they’re getting put on their arse all game and running for their life. Joe almost had his leg ripped off and still threw for two touchdowns and had no picks

The amount of people on this board who just don’t understand the game is astounding

ETA: The swag was always lame. But he’s a 25 year old millionaire who doesn’t give a frick what you, me, or anyone else thinks.

Well, it looks like they’ll have a chance grabbing Gronk. OL needs to be the focus, all day. Burrow sacked 16 times between the titans and Rams

The owner of the Bengals, Brown, and his predecessors, will not ever spend the money for a complete roster, good facilities or anything else. They have always had the same approach, just like Comisky, the incredibly cheap White Sox owner, which is, the fans are already committed and loyal, so I’m making money now, so why actually invest the money in building or maintaining a consistent winner.

It’s only been sheer happenstance that the Bengals were able to keep the talent they have now for as little as two years and it ain’t gonna last much longer. In fact, some friends from Ohio recently told me that there actually maybe some truth to the rumor that Brown is at least considering a package trade of the two young starters with the potential for the largest future price tags, Burrow & Chase.

Personally, I hate owners like Brown. If you aren’t interested having a good team, then go invest your money else where. At the same time, if the rumor is actually true, then, Please, Please, Sweet Baby Jesus, Please, convince Mrs. Benson to do whatever it takes to bring bring Joe & Jamar back Home, just as the good Lord always intended. Amen…

The Bengals pass protection in the 1st Half was great. They were using their C & RG to double team AD which worked very well until the 2nd Half. After halftime the Rams started stunting inside w/LM. With the C & RG on AD that left Miller unblocked when he delayed his rush & came up the middle. Unless I just didn’t recognize it, the Bengals NEVER did anything to adjust. If they did it didn’t work very well I suppose.

Seems to me that a delayed handoff to Mixon around the right side or a RB/WR screen to Miller’s side would have at least made the Rams DL pause just a tad to determine where the play was going. I dont think the Bengals ever adjusted which allowed the Rams DL to FEAST in the 2nd Half

Cincy needs players more than they need coaching and you can’t get Sean Payton without giving up draft picks they desperately need.

They drafted 2 OL this past draft & 6 OL since 2019. In that same timeframe they’ve only drafted 1 CB (Jordan Brown-7th Rd). Maybe some of those guys just need more time to develop? They should still draft a top flight CB in the 1st or 2nd Round - Depending on what FA has to offer.

Free Agency is their best bet. That way you have a pretty good idea of what your getting rather than trying to draft & then develop them into studs.

Cincinnati was dumpster fire when Taylor took over and looked like they might ruin Joe Burrow in Burrow's first season. So they made moves to upgrade with free agent talent, and it worked. Not perfectly, but they made it to the Super Bowl with those moves.

The Oline is still young. It takes a couple of years to pull that consistency together, and almost all NFL teams struggle to have a successful offensive lines. No team is lights out in that department.

Cincinnati's front office is in the catbird seat, as other's have mentioned. Bonafide franchise, All Pro, quite possibly future HoF QB playing on a rookie deal for the next 3 years with loads of cap space because they suffered letting dead money get off the books and didn't over spend on FA's. They'll be right back in it next season.

I've been thinking the same all season. More now than ever! While it's true one man doesn't make a team, but without him they become irrelevant again. One would think Mike Brown would protect his investment.

What I don't understand is that they knew they needed an offensive line after last year and seemed to do nothing. I'm not thinking too much of their head coach. I believe he is calling the offensive plays too and he sucks at it.

Before the game, I told my wife that Joe will be fine but the game will depend on Apple. He will have a fantastic pick or more likely a busted play and penalty. True to form he blew it, just like when he was in New Orleans. Plays with passions but to erratic to keep around.

He threw for 1 touchdown. Mixon threw the other one.

That holding call was on 3rd down, so even not calling it wouldn't have ended the game. I'd argue #55 only stays with Kupp by pulling his jersey. He doesn't get the leverage to swat the ball without holding Kupp back.

End of the game plays get way more scrutiny for right or for wrong by the refs. Had the offense committed an obvious OPI that resulted in the game winning td, the lament would be "you can't ignore that at the end of the game!" instead of "you can't call that; they've been letting them play all game!".
