If all our JRs were to come back next year would the team be better than 2011?

well yeh, but what if PP came back for the 2011 season? Wouldn't that team be better?

Not a fan of hypotheticals

Defense would probably be a push.

Offensively, yes, probably so.

Unfortunately Greedy and White are gone, and Fulton is going to be an interesting case.

Both offense and defense would be better. We'd have depth at some positions too. Only if

Offense yes but our secondary I don't think would be as good..Fulton to me has not shown that he can lock it down like greedy. Our 2 starters would be joseph and fulton...Unless Derick stingley comes in and is ready

Greedy would also return in this scenario. I’m saying if by some miracle none of the eligible players declare early.

Not on offense or defense.

People forget how stacked that team was.

No. 2011s team was ridiculous. Best team we've ever had. Beat some very good teams by alot.

Even when White and Greedy leave, we will still have a playoff caliber team if we can get the remaining juniors to stay.

Oh there is literally zero chance they stay ha projected top 5. Next year schedule will be alot better than this years though...offense would be really good with burrow having a year behind him..

My wonder this year is what if Guice would have stayed one more year.

To me, there are 3 guys that we need to stay for their senior years to make a playoff run.

1) Rashard Lawrence - he may decide to go because he seems to always have small nagging injuries. He doesn’t miss Gabe’s but I can see how he’dcwantbto start getting paid to play hurt.

His reasons to return are to play for the ship and because this year’s NFL DL class iS LOADED.

2) Kristian Fulton - I doubt he goes pro but there is a possibility that he’s just fed up with the NCAA and leaves.

3) Michael Divinity - the guy has a young daughter and might want to start making money.

Obviously we need Burrow to return as well but I just don’t see him leaving.

If we get those 3 guys back, I think our D will be incredible.

We don’t have the RBs like we did in 2011, so no.

Next year we would have:

CEH = Michael Ford (explosive back)
Curry = Spencer Ware (hard runner)
Ty Davis = Kenny Hilliard (Big Back)
Noah Cain = Alfred Blue (smooth and patient)

I'm assuming we get Cain obviously.

I feel like those 4 could be as good as the 2011 crew.

You’re way off.

CEH is no Michael Ford.

Curry will definitely not be as good as Spencer Ware.

I love how fans try to wish production into existence.

Michael Ford averaged 5.7 YPC for his career, which is awesome.

CEH has average 5.3 YPC so far this year. If he could improve by half a yard per carry next year he would be right around Ford's career average. Obviously there's no guarantee he improves that much, but it isn't crazy to suggest that he might.
