than they will never be happy in life.
13-1, first LSU team to start 13-0 in the history of the program. Beating the teams they beat including Bama on their home turf.

I'm sure every single player at Texas, USC, Florida, Oklahoma and other top schools is happy. LSU's the only program with any disgruntled players.

As I read on another post here this morning, if a player doesn't love LSU and doesn't want to play at LSU, then I don't care how good he is, I don't want him. Just saying.

You know what, I am not one to rip a player. But, hey Toshiro

FYI, enjoy being 500 or a little over at overrated Texas.

Would you be happy as a player if you got your asses handed to you in the biggest game, after dominating pretty much everyone on the way there? Of course not. I would be a little worried if the players were happy after that performance.

Davis is likely repeating what Mack & Co put in his ear.

That said...

An elite football team, like an elite military unit, needs a leader--someone who says, "Follow me!! Let's kill these guys!" The absence of such a leader results in a breakdown of morale among those who, whether they admit it or not, need such a leader. The LSU offense last season lacked a leader. JJ was positioned to play that role, then went AWOL for a couple of months, and JL didn't have the opportunity to step in to the leadership role and follow through, since he was replaced by a weakened JJ. As a consequence, there was a lack of unity. Not bashing JJ or making excuses for JL. Just observing what happened based on some experience with small unit team dynamics. I'm not surprised that there was disgruntlement among the offensive players, notwithstanding that on pure talent (and the strength of the defense and special teams) they all had a spectacular season. If Mett or Hilliard steps up and takes charge this year, the whole atmosphere will change.

this kid knew he was going to Texas. Read that from multiple sources. LSU just flat out got burned by him.

i'd take what he says with a grain of salt

I heard that yesterday and had to wonder; "WTF do the players at Texas have to be happy about"?
If they are happy at UT after their last two seasons, he's wanting to play with losers.

ETA: That quote from him is just a BS deflection from what he did on NSD.

If those guys are still sulking about the last game, then that's their problem. I don't care how big the game was, if you're still sulking and you're a player, then you need to look into another hobby.

If according to Toshiro Davis the players are not happy then he will experience what they feel when he doesn't see the field or have significant playing time till he's a Jr or Sr. He didn't want to compete for a starting job with Phillips, Alexander or Louis. Has Alexander not committed he would have signed. No doubt in my mind.

This is really the point that should be made. If you went to visit Oregon last year in mid January after they lost and everyone was partying and happy go lucky wouldn't that be a red flag. Here at LSU we take the game seriously. The fans, the players, the coaches, everyone. That means that people won't be happy after losing a BCS Championship, they won't be happy after losing a mid-season game to a better team, they will never be happy after losing.

If you want to be somewhere that is happy after a loss, then go on we don't want you here anyways.

Yeah, you tell those players how they should feel!

If their feelings don't conform to your wishes they should just turn in their cleats!

Tell Will Blackwell he's a negatiger to his face, dude.

Can'r wait to see how you grade out on that pancake.

He sounds like a kid that looked at the LSU roster & figured he wasn't beating anyone out on the defensive 2-deep, so may as well head to Texass.

Apparently, it's not only their problem. It's your problem too.

PLAYER (thinks to himself): Let's see...I've played here three years. Three years of spring ball, three years of waking up at 5 in the morning and doing every thing Moffet asks. Three years of practice trying to avoid injury when MIles falls down out of the tunnel. Plus my high school years. But this kook on the internet says if I feel like this I should get another hobby...Hmmmm.
