No what's wrong with you! You need to go back and examine the whole situation. It's both men's fault. Not just 1 person. Y'all blame O like he's in this alone. No. He's not. Canada has just as much blame because if he was so innocent, why would O not like him in the first place? You don't think Saban meddled with Kiffin? Stoops with Riley? Dabo and Venebles? Come on man it happens everywhere.

It's his fault he can't do what's best for the team and the university which is to shut up and let Canada do his job
We shouldn't be paying 3 million for a coordinator to leave just bc O wants one of his "buddies"

Fair enough, but you know that the same old tired assholes here would blame him for not taking control if Canada was to slack on his job or call a really bad game.

I'm sure they contributed not meddled. I know They all trusted them to come up with a gameplan.
I also know for a fact they didn't take away the one aspect of their respective offenses that made said offense successful
I also know none of them got into physical altercations with their OCs

I just don't understand how anyone can say that. None of us know anything substantive about what's going on between O and Canada except for rumors.
People have painted O as the villain because they feel they are entitled to a better HC than O, yet no one actually knows what's going on.

The best thing one can do is to keep their mouths shut an quit acting like a gossip stirrer
This adds nothing to solving the problem

quote:And you know this how ? I hope and pray that O has enough sense to let his coordinators coach, but after the Auburn debacle I suppose it's just like Miles refusing to stay out of the play calling . Canada's idea of what offense we run must have been exactly opposite of O's idea of what an offense looks like, and we are firing the guy whose offense turned that 20 point w/Auburn deficit into a winner .If we are going to allow this personality conflict to determine what our coaching staff becomes, we may as well start a HC search. Now. Where the frick is our AD ?

So y’all are saying he is the same guy he was at Ole Miss? He is 10-4 in the SEC at LSU what was his sec record at Ole Miss? Oh so he has improved...thanks!
Well, except for Auburn who threw the game in the 2nd half to win bets, all the other wins don't count cuz those teams all wanted new coaches and didn't try.
Next season will be a disaster because our OC will be new, our QB will be lots more talented, our O-line will be deep and very good and our D will be loaded. All this points to an extremely frustrating season and I can clearly see why the OP and his followers are melting.
Also, we wasted a scholly on a damn kicker that doesn't miss.

They threw for like 150 yards.
No way that hurt them.

That's a fair and valid observation. I give credit when credit is due. O is the major reason for the turnaround from the early part of the season due to sloppiness and too many penalties
Which brings up the question.. Why try to derail the momentum we have by firing your OC after one season? I really don't care if he's an a-hole. Set aside your differences and get ready for a kickass 2018 seasom

Empty vessels make the loudest noise. Unfortunately, we're seeing just how many empty vessels our fanbase has.

It's not like Canada's offense completely shite the bed. I mean he had freaking Danny Etling as his QB.
I think it's really stupid to pay Canada $3 million to leave because Coach O can't get along with him. The offense improved. And Coach O should give Canada a shot with Brennan or Narcisse.

Fair? Probably not. But he has to continue to prove to us he isn't the same Ole Miss O and he's not doing the most convincing job this far

That's fair.
The sample size at LSU is still too small for me to jump to any conclusion.
I wish he and Canada could work shite out, but I don't know what's going on. O better go get his guy to replace Canada and not settle for the easy hire.

Look, pal, I'm not one of those morons saying fire Orgeron after a 9 (hopefully 10) win season. I thought his hiring was a joke. He's our coach. It is what it is. I think, to date (before this Canada debacle) he's done "OK." Not great, but OK.
At the same time, I have to ask, is there a law written somewhere that LSU can only hire cartoon characters as its head football coaches? Les Miles -- har har! Wears a big white goofy hat 3 sizes too big, can't speak right, eats grass! Ed Orgeron -- "BeBe;" cooks a great gumbo (just the right amount of okra!); resembles the Incredible Hulk, or Shrek. I mean, can't we have a fricking normal football coach that knows actual X's and O's? What was Miles' background? He may have been an O-coordinator a few years at Okie St. before taking over the head job; in the NFL, he was a position coach. Orgeron -- OUT OF COACHING when Miles hired him to be his DEFENSIVE LINE COACH. He hired Steele to be his D-coordinator.
Then, next year, Miles hires Aranda as DC. Uncle Ed is still coaching the d-line, but somehow has parlayed that into landing one of the most coveted head coaching jobs in America.
As I said, he's the coach. He's done OK. I'm not saying he should be fired. But this Canada business is one of the reasons people were leery of hiring him as the head coach -- lack of management skills.
Be honest - if someone told you you could only keep Aranda or Orgeron at LSU, who would you pick? Presumably, you'd pick the guy with the higher Mensa score, the guy with the X's and O's gray matter, and not the face of the program/cheerleader.
You get me? I'm OK with Orgeron as HC if he does what he promised to do -- hire top-notch coordinators and then get out of the way and let them coach. (Because they know more than him. Isn't that the implied point?) But firing an OC who by any reasonable measure did "OK" as well his first year, b/c they don't get along? And having to shell out again millions of dollars to pay a guy not to coach? Not good.
