The players loved him

He worked wonders with a crappy QB and an inexperienced O-line

All things considered, the only person who despises him enough to want him gone after 1 year (and piss away 3 mill) is O

Ole Miss is everywhere? You are basing your statement on his tenure at Ole Miss correct?

They were covering it on the morning shows, but it's tough to believe that LSU is still this bad at media relations and public perception. We are talking historic levels of bad. This entire situation is yet another debacle.

Yeah. The only HC job he's ever had which ended up going so bad he is still claimed to be the worst hire in Ole Miss history

And bad enough that he promised LSU to change his ways only to go back on those promises because he thinks he's a "boss"

So, O is to blame for Canada slacking and for him getting fired.

NFL possibly

Possibly....it seems his personality would be a better fit there but I'm not sure his system would be. I'm guessing that is why he hasn't gotten more traction on that front.

He'd also have to take a cut in title and pay to get there....I don't think any NFL team will bring him on as OC at this point.

It's pretty common knowledge that O sent him on little unimportant errands like recruiting Matt Coral (whatever the frick his name is who went to Ole Miss)

He then told him to get off the trail to come up with a game plan for ND

Canada was pissed he was not hitting any of the main targets homes. O did it because he knew he was going to fire Matt after the early signing period

We are the same school that was basically leaking the info. that Miles was gone, gave him his sendoff and then told him he still had a job in a dark hallway underneath the stadium five minutes after the aTm game. Canada might still have a chance of returning...who knows with the LSU way of doing things.

Truthfully, this is all on Orgeron regardless.

Didn't he meet him only once before hiring him?

I hope he stays. I'd like to see how his offense develops after he's had some time to recruit accordingly and get the offense installed 100%.

So y’all are saying he is the same guy he was at Ole Miss? He is 10-4 in the SEC at LSU what was his sec record at Ole Miss? Oh so he has improved...thanks!

Bottom line.
Canada is a abrasive jerk to everyone. Can't get along with people. Can't stay anywhere more than a year or two.

Thanks to Dave Aranda and Matt Canada he has improved, yes

I give little to no credit because when he decided to take over game planning we lost to Troy

So because he's a jerk we should pay him 3 mill to leave?

So because he's a jerk we should replace his complicated offense with a new one for Brennan and Narcisse to learn?

He's an a-hole for sure but, when he's left alone to do his thing (and has a competent QB) he creates an offense similar to that of Pitt last season. He's the best OC LSU has had since Jimbo and he shouldn't be fired after one season

He has every right to question the offense. He's the head coach. his way or no way.you think other head coaches don't question their coaches.

That was for a head coaching position....which clearly he isn't ready for.
