If he really wanted to win a Natty as he proclaimed, he would take half of his yearly salary, and put it into the NIL for O and D linemen and 5 star receivers.
He still would have more money than he could ever spend and he might actually have a legacy he could be proud of.....but winning isn't what he is really about is it.

Since anyone can pay the players now, are there rules for when it comes to head coaches using their salaries to pay recruits?

Pretty sure coaches can’t donate to NIL.

Kelly should create his own shell company and donate a certain percentage of his salary to it for NIL purposes. He could be the owner and use it to pay players. It’s the Wild West now.

I said last night he might catch an Urban disease and leave

Indiana has played one of the easiest schedules in college football this year. Yes, they have looked very good in several of those games. Let's see how they do this week when they play a real team, one that would comparable to the top teams in the SEC. I don't think they will fare very well personally.

that would be grounds for removal. Lack of effort has to be the #1 reason for dismissal. Fire him and make him prove it in court that he was really trying. He would probably 'settle' and LSU could get out from under this dinosaur.

Ahh yes, the winningest head coach who hasn’t even won an NY6 bowl in over 5 years and has a shitty postseason record
And this means he has never tried or cared about winning?
I told myself I was done defending Kelly after last week, but, holy hell, the amount of dumbassery on this board in the last 2 days is insane.

Convince BK to put his personal money into NIL, leak the info to the NCAA, becomes public embarrassment to LSU, fire for cause. Just got you out of BKs contract.

This fanbase has every right to be unhappy with the direction the program has gone. Kelly has made so many promises that he never kept and it’s made him look like a complete fool. If Kelly wants to keep his job, he better do whatever the frick it takes to get elite players and put out a CFP worthy team. Time is running out for him and he’s already lost a significant portion of this fanbase.
I agree with you on this

That’s why you have to go great lengths to cover it up like Saban did. Burn the evidence.

Damn, look at all these head coaches that don't care about winning.....

He should put more onto the plate of his assistants. They’re highly paid so they need to pull their weight
