Don't be silly. If lee played that whole bama game last week, there is zero shot of winning the game. Give credit where it is due.

The old "Break one down to lift up another" bit. I bet the first 4 wees of the season were absolute misery for you.

Last night was a glorified scrimmage, reading anything into it is a waste of time...

the passes called actually played to his strengths. the coaches figured out late last yr that he threw the ball better on early downs and/ or play action. ESPN had a stat on it before the season and his rating was actually really high on early downs down the stretch - and it was a pretty decent sample size.

So explain to me our playcalling with JJ during the course of this entire year before last night, how effective it was, and what last night was.

We had a 99 yard drive made up entirely of running plays with JJ during the Tenn game. How many options did we even see last night from him? We have a one receiver route with JJ dropping back in the endzone?

The defense played really poorly in the first half yesterday, which can be somewhat expected. But I just don't get it.

So you expected it but don't understand it. This place sucks when it should be great. 10-0 for the 1st time in 50 years. A lot of our fans suck.

So our linebackers didn't continue to show their weaknesses against a team that utilized their TE and RB's exclusively?

I can understand coming out flat following last weeks game. I can't understand losing the TOP battle by 11 minutes, failing to stop third downs, and allowing extended drives against an inferior team. We did this the entire first half until we started sending pressure.

Not sure why we have so many fans crying about this thread in this thread. It's a valid discussion when you have something happening all year, and then you completely change it all of a sudden. WKU or not, it's worth discussing.

Some people think any discussion is questioning Miles/JJ/whoever and makes you a shitty fan. Superfan is what they are called.

Hard to explain a "feel" or a "rhythm", but it had the feel and lack of rhythm of the 2010 offense.

No, it didn't in any way, shape or form.

This was a chance to test each qb's game outside of their respective strengths. Scrimmage play calling all the way, I would even guess that Les was trying to communicate to you rantards by having Lee run the option, to make it clear that it was "just practice". No disrespect to WKU, but that game was never in question, so why not take an opportunity to work on things for the games that will be in question? The defense struggled in the 1st half due to repeated 3 n outs from our experiments.

Jefferson needs to be in games and he played a HUGE part in beating Bama, but Lee is the better option to start. I feel like he gives LSU more. I feel he has a better feel when he's in the game. Jefferson is so mechanical.

With that said, Lee or Jefferson starting is NOT my issue. My issue is how Miles seems to dance around the qtn of Why is Jefferson starting? I mean Lee was pretty much benched. Why Miles?

You should be able to understand it when we fumble a kick off, let an ok thrown ball bounce off both hands, and quit on a quick slant+have a defense come out flat and beat up from playing the game of the century+wanting to get some practice throwing it which hasnt been the strength all year against an inferior opponent because you already know you can run. Of course we didnt have an identitity because you use these games to work on your weaknesess. We know our strengths everyone does. Why get more reps of Ware up the middle when we desprately need to get at least one qb with confidence back after a bad game throwing the ball?

This is the shite that is just dumb by JJ haters. JJ didnt instantly come in and destroy our offense, in fact he had a decent game, we went away from controlling the clock because we had other things to work on.

Everytime JJ throws a pass from his hip with his full windup passing motion without looking off the defender a puppy dies in a fire.

Since most of this is looking at scheme, I would say this is full of fail. Again, you can't see beyond one individual player.
