How does 90% of this board not see this.

Right now, Daniels is like O after he won the NC; everyone likes him. He is popular. He has had two very good games at UF and Ole Miss. But let's see how looks after November's games. Three of our tough games; Bama, at Ark and & A&M.

Completing 70% of his passes but does nothing but miss wide open receivers. Got it.

We beat Bama and he shines in SEC Championship game - no way.

In August and the first part of September all we heard was his passing percentage is so bad that he’s not going to be able to sustain drives. Now that we lead the SEC and rank fifth in the country for first downs and he’s completing like 73% in his last three games The negative critiques have been forced to go to, he under threw a touchdown pass and has missed some receivers. lol

The guy definitely hasn’t been perfect and and hopefully he will continue to improve. We will all have a better idea about him after November is over.

Purple and gold glasses. He is getting better but has miles to go. If he is effective in a win over the Gumps, LSU will have arrived a year or two early.

So statistics over the course of three games “don’t tell the whole story” but 2 passes do? Please explain how that makes any logical sense, at all, whatsoever. Good grief.

Those 2 passes were potentially game losing plays. If Ole Miss intercepts that ball, momentum Ole Miss.

Also, i highly recommend you watch the game, because clearly you didn’t. Our receivers have clearly adjusted to his underthrown balls, and that’s a good thing, just don’t think it’ll hold up against Bama

Hope I’m wrong. Dude is a great athlete and plays his heart out, love seeing him smile on the sidelines. He’s just not a QB.

If JD returns, Nus is likely gone unless he somehow beats out Walker.

Best case scenario for JD, and LSU, is that he balls out, makes an NFL roster, and hopefully Howard is as good as advertised. Which, if he is, there’s absolutely no way JD wins the starting job.

People quote his completion percentage. It’s really easy to have a high completion percentage if you make easy throws and only occasionally a tough one.

He is a Jalen Hurts look-alike and with Hurts' success this season in the NFL I could see Daniels' stock rise easily into the middle of the second round, and if that happens he's as good as gone.

Jalen Hurts is about 50 pounds heavier and was squatting 600 pounds in college. Not sure I see them as clones.

You guys just don't get it...he played two bad defenses...he has had several bad games. Stetson Bennet might throw for 500 against Florida, and he will never go pro either. Let's see what JD does against Bama...they will be prepared like Tenn and will force him to beat them down the field with his arm. I'm not confident in that happening given even his passes downfield in good games.

All other things being the same if he had a stronger arm and continued performances the last several games for rest of season he would probably enter draft after playing his 4th season in college.

With weaker arm I would think continuing to improve arm (across entire throwing motion including core/hips and legs), footwork, accuracy, and getting it out quicker with release and improving recognition and then showing a more complete passing ability over a full season in college would be better. Maybe also put on a little more weight.

That improvement can happen in pros, but I am not sure showing improvement over past several games for rest of season gets him drafted high enough to be allowed that development without eventually bouncing around practice squads.

I did watch the entire game numb nuts

You’re still using two passes to prove a point. Daniels threw a ton of dimes as well

Sometimes QBs miss passes, crazy I know

This is correct. Maybe things have changed, but that his intention from the moment he put his name in the portal. He’s starter for four years and has his degree. He’s probably ready to see what is next for him. Quite frankly, I don’t blame him.

Look! I was one of the fans criticizing Daniels. He just looked loss at the beginning and I did not think after 4 years of starting he would get any better, buy the last few games he showed me the potential he has and is proving me wrong. If he continues to play like this and gets better the rest of the season. I do not believe Howard or anyone will beat him out if he comes back.
