I totally believe the coaching was focused on the upcoming game. This was the last week to get away with something like this and the most important game of the season so far coming up to really set the tone.

Again I just don't see why people are so upset with the mediocre Townson (sp?) game. I'm way over that the moment it ended. Move on to bigger things.

You're welcome. What pissed me off was the response that you gave the guy when he informed you that his mom recently passed away. Your response was classless since his mom recently died. If your mom is still alive, then cherish every moment with her. If she passed away, how would you feel about someone saying that they screwed your dead mom and she just laid there? I'm sorry, but someone making jokes about a family member that recently died chaps my arse. I just pray that if you ever go through what the guy you made fun of, nobody makes fun of your mom. Just take this word of advice, please, Karma comes back to bite you in your arse and it is usually worse than what you said or did. I'm sorry that I called you scum, but you making fun of a person's deceased mom, is really low. Have a great night and I hope that

karma doesn't come back to bite you.

As someone who played the game, I understand what the OP is getting at, but football players these days are a different breed. Who knows what's running through their head.

Were you playing at any level higher than 2-3A? Think about this analogy, you're playing chess vs a retard (I'm talking helmet retard not Rainman retard). You are going to win. There is no doubt that you're better at all facets of the game. Now think that you have to do this once a week for one month. Will you be on your best possible game vs this poor drooling bastard? NO!

A bit strong, but I still LOL'ed.

Sometimes you play down to the level of your opponents.

I think it is more about not respecting lesser opponents. Some players seem to try to do too much just bc they think they can easily dominate the other team. I feel like this has caused a lot of the sloppy plays that you see.

I think it's sad that not only do they not want to destroy a lesser opponent, run up the score, and be considered for ALL SEC or Heisman with great stats, but that they are so brazenly craven as to admit it to a reporter.

Man, settle down. My mother is dead by the way. In fact, she passed away this past year. That's not an image I care to think about.
these are the kinds of things that are truly bannable offenses, not talking bad about Les Miles. It's a shame the mods will not do the former, but quickly pull the trigger on the latter.

The same people blasting the OP will be the very ones that are bitching and complaining Saturday night about the sloppy play and lack of effort of the team. (I booked marked to call them out).

Actually what is brazenly craven is hiding behind the anonymity that the internet provides and insulting 18-21 year old student athletes, without knowing them personally, their issues and problems and what motivates them and their goals.

Let us get rid of those pusillanimous, gutless bastards and then come back to cheer the team players.

It's just not possible to be emotionally sky-high every game for 12+ games. There will be games where we're flat (and I feel that too as a fan - some games I'm just not too excited about). Sometimes this occurs when the opponent is weak, but other times it's the week after a very emotional game, whether we win or lose. So no, the players aren't hyped for every game.
