Win or lose, I'm neutral. As long as we keep the staff on a strict pitch count, and avoid injury.

Best thing for this team is to get work today and go home
Long week of rest will be way more valuable than a conference tournament title

I can’t and refuse to have the attitude of I hope or would not mind if we lose defeatist attitude. If you have ever played high level competitive sports and have that attitude you can’t just turn it on and off when it really matters. We have pitchers that if they don’t pitch today and tomorrow if we win will not be in a competitive situation for several weeks with regionals starting next week. You play to win the game. They need to work in high leverage situations. Crews and Dugas need to get rolling etc. I hope they pitch Floyd about 80 pitches and Herring comes in and throws a good game and gets some confidence. Coleman and Guidry need to pitch as well. Lastly I don’t like losing to the faggies at anything.

Why do people worry about 18-22 year old bucks needing “rest”? I understand pitch count for the hurlers, but these boys have been playing in baseball tournaments their whole lives where they probably played 7 or 8 games in a long weekend. Even if we make it to Sunday, you have 5 days before the next game with no school going on. I think they can press through.

I don't need us to win the tournament but I would like us to at least get Floyd, Coleman, Herring, and Guidry some good innings of work heading into the Regionals. I would like our offense to keep up the good at bats and want to give Crews as many at bats as possible before his career is over. Really want him to get to 20 HRs this year. 5 shy

I’d like to win today, get Coleman on the mound again tomorrow. And that would be good enough. If we lose because we don’t get enough hits, or the other teams outslug us, that isn’t too worrisome. But if we lose with errors, walks, and bad base running, I’m won’t feel great about it.

I don’t really like going 2&Q, so I would like a win today, but I wouldn’t mind getting bounced after that at any point.

ETA: I've been reminded that I'm an idiot and that we won the first game. Carry on

I want to see Money and Collins get work also. I think getting to the semis would be nice to get those guys work and if you make it to finals just figure it out then.

Good thing the beat South Carolina then. You should be happy no matter the outcome based on that.

Gotta get Crews and Tommy hitting timely.

I was about to post yesterday and ask when the last time Crews hit a HR or even a double for that matter.

Glad I didn't and jink him..

The answer would have been last Thursday night against Georgia.

Get Floyd work. Get a few guys an inning out the pen. Stay healthy. Those are the only goals that matter. Get ready for next week when shite matters.

If we do win, fine but it’s lagniappe.

Agreed, always nice to beat AnM though.

Winning the tournament would be huge for momentum. The team is in a slump. We need to win.

We’re not really in a slump. We won the last series of the season and played two good games in the tournament. We just didn’t get the benefit of a call on the catcher’s interference. We still have had 23 or so hits and 14 runs against some good pitching

Yeah most of the hits yesterday were from 2 guys.

Hopefully Crews is out of his slump after his last at bat, but Dugas is in a major funk that we need to hope he breaks through

Fudge that, I never want to lose to the Aggies, because of their constant shite talking.

just really hope yesterday was a weird anomaly

It was. It's crazy that he gives up a few hits and yall think he lost something. Goes to show how dominant he has been every other game.

He will be fine.
