Incorrect. That would be CPM.

Again... Involved with Paul coaching search

With Smoke, he was asked who do you want, and there were no objections...AKA hand picked

I’m sure Skip and Paul are both involved, but it’s because they know people, and that gives us an advantage to kind of interview and talk to people, without it being through the AD. Ultimately, Woodward has the final say, and then the LSU BOS and all of those guys.

Skip and Paul care about LSU and what them to be successful, so Woodward will definitely listen to their opinions and stuff.

Why? His arse isn't on the line if the hire doesn't work.

Because Skip forgot more about baseball than you will ever know. He would definitely be someone to consult with.

Well the last coach Skip also hand picked Smoke Laval, and we know how that turned out...

Smoke did go to a couple CWS, and a couple more Super Regionals. I know not the greatest when you expect titles, but lets not call Smoke a total failure. He lost it at the end though big time.

I would hope so. Look at it from this perspective.

The AD in this situation can be viewed as a Human Resources Manager. Let’s say an HR Manager is looking to hire an engineer. The HR Manager will know exactly what they want in an employee, but may not be the best judge of which candidate would fit the mold bc he isn’t an engineer. So a smart HR Manager has a current senior engineer help with the interviews, and then gives his input into who he thinks would be the best fit. The HR Manager can then make an informed decision bc he got help from someone (senior engineer) who’s already a seasoned professional in the field.

It makes perfect sense for SW to consult with Skip and Paul.

Seems to be forgotten, and "Hold the Rope" glossed over it, but Skip gave the reins to Smoke initially. That didn't go so well.
