It was a new system. There's gonna be mistakes throughout the year. Coach O needs to get his panties out of a wad and come to terms with this great knowledgeable OC we have.

Canada said this today per Dellenger LINK
quote:

This offense has untapped potential. The players here and the players recruited here to come here are going to fill any voids that there is with this team. This offense is ready to explode.

I don’t care if it’s Canada, Mexico, Ensminger, Kiffin, Freeze, who-the-frick-ever, I wish to have an offense that’s more productive than 54th in the nation in total offense and 72nd in the nation in scoring offense. If you look at the teams that all had a shot to make the playoff going into the final week of the season, they all were at least top 20-30 in both categories.

Coach O clearly has a lot of fault here, but we don't need someone around who does what Canada is accused of doing. There is rationale for O's mistake; absolutely no rationale for Canada except unprofessional, petty, and harmful.

We have no idea if that is true. We can go back to that when this is all said and done

I'm amazed that a guy who was maligned much of the year such as Canada suddenly has become the most popular guy on campus...

Glad to see him go. Offense was not what it was promoted to be.

Go tell Pitt that. Go tell Andy Reid that. Moron. We had not so great qb. Wr. Ol. 411 yards and 28 points a game wasn’t terrible based on what we had talent wise and in his first year. Players loved it. Don’t just look at rankings. You have to look deeper. Most here cannot do that.

Yeah let’s go back to predictable toss dives all game long. No using whole field. Genius!!!

Agreed. The stud QB's who beat Alabama (or were close to beating them in some cases) were tough and true athletes. Etling only recently found his toughness.

DeSean Watson
Baker Mayfield
Johnny CFL
AK47 Kelly
Good Bo/Bad Bo (although not a great QB, but he was tough as frick)

There is plenty to complain about with Danny but toughness definitely isn't one.

He played all of 2016 with an injured back that left his legs numb for stretches.

That kid has always been a tough SOB.

I'd like to keep Canada as well. Personally, as long as the offense is excelling I don't care who the OC is. BUT, Canada already has the ball rolling. He has a year under his belt, and the same goes for the players. You bring in a new guy, I don't care if it's Sean fricking Payton, that's another year you set yourself back. That's why Canada has an edge for me.

I like the offense progression during the season. I believe fans overlook the losses on offense when citing the 54th offense. I mean we started two true freshman on the o line plus Weathersby was banged up. The two freshman OL were not 5 star can’t miss recruits.

O also required the services of a shadow staff WR coach. I like the version we saw against Texas A&M. We have two different style QB’s vying to be the starter. In this offense I can see both young Qb’s finding success.

I want to keep Canada. More than fine with that, but Special fricking Ed needs to go. Now. We know he's gonna fail so don't delay the inevitable.
