Fans and crowd noise don't win or lose the game.

We turned it over inside the 5, costing points then we gave them the ball deep gving them a cheap TD. That's a 14 point turnaround. Tack on the missed FG and your talking a 17 point differential (15 if you account for the safety).

I was there too. Good post. And what you mention about the AU victory music, Halarious. I heard it and then saw AU's student section cheering for the team. WTF, you lost guys.

I was there as well. Thought the first half was "bad bounces" and jitters and we'll jell in the second. Nope, discipline went further down hill..3 penalties on same play??!! Two offenses that couldn't execute. It reminded me of the old joke about the train passing late in the game. And, of course, the DUMB rears it's head clearly in clock management with 39 seconds. Here it comes, we don't get the first, we'll kick a field goal. Uhhhh, let's wait to send that unit on the field until there's only 8 seconds on the play clock. The exiting Aubbies stopped in mid-aisle. They could have won with a major college qb (which they also don't have).

Sorry, if realism is negative. I guess the sunshine smoke is what keeps us paying thousands for tickets and groceries in somebody's local economy every week. It was thrilling only because of the ineptitude of those who should be better,...and the passion displayed by fans who saw a glimmer of hope fueled by that ineptitude in their opponent.

The first two drives, LSU had Auburn beat. It was the "here we go again" hang dog look. We fumbled at the 2, but then got the safety. Then, we drove the field and they could not stop us. 9-0. The route was on. At the end of the first quarter, we had 120 yards and they had -5. It was complete domination

That's when a top NC contender puts a team away. We let them in the game and gave them hope.

Good post.

Ive been to au several times and its always this way when we play them.
I tried to tell several people last week, this game was gonna be tough and people thought I was crazy.

Just like LSU, Au football has a lot of pride... players, coaches and fans.
They werent gonna lay over for us.

Be glad we got the W,,, focus on improving and correcting mistakes and MOVE FRWD.

To all of you doubters, we are gonna be fine. First road game, first SEC game, to a team who always plays us hard at home. We have some work to do, but we will be ok. GEAUX TIGERS

Sure, we should have won by more. The turnover did us in. Then, we got conservative and made mistakes. But, this game should not be an indicator of how good this LSU team is. They have work to do, but this is the SEC.

We took their best shot and still got the W. On the road in the SEC, doesn't matter if it's one or a hundred and one... take it. Mett is still young and learning, receivers have to get better too.

Thanks! I enjoyed reading your post, and it does make me feel better about our team. I guess if we can handle that kind of environment, we should be able to handle away games at Florida and aTm.

First game on the road vs a good team that believed they could win after we made some mistakes.

I think this game was needed after destroying 3 cream puffs. No they know they have bring it for ever team in the SEC no matter their record.

I think Oregon is going to jump LSU in the polls and that will be a good thing for the LSU players. A little humbling and help them grow up some.
