Most folks have accepted that Miles isn't ever going to change. Maybe those fans who haven't need to get with the times. It is what it is, deal with it and work within the framework you have. What you saw last night was Les Miles football.

Youre absolutely right and its bullshite he gets that much money to just plain ignore the shite he puts on the field and remain so stubborn to a fault. I hope he changes, but I fear these WR's are going to see how they are unused and will shy away from LSU. Shep must be thinking what the hell was he thinking to listen to Les about coming back, at least at this point. Les can still change, but he just never has before, he's a mule.

He just wants the W, but sacrifices excellence IMO. Last year was the perfect example. LSU won a lot of games and the first Bama game was a perfect idea of what Les Miles football is all about. After that game, Alabama evolved, LSU didn't. They became excellent and that game of attrition didn't work on them.

I don't think LSU can win it all playing like they did last night. Maybe go 9-3 or something, but in the next two weeks Miles and the team have to go to a whole new level. I don't expect it, but think it's necessary.

And sad that you would think a supposed top notch coach, at a top notch program, making top notch money would obviously see that without anyone saying a world. I would hope it would be obvious, but amazingly it is not, never has been his thing for change, he even struggled to change the coaching staff at points where he never "fired" anyone. If the coach sucks, fire his arse and change, you make too much damn money to monkey around with change for the better.

Exactly. And if you've never been in that stadium to experience this and are posting here slamming the team, you don't know what the hell you are talking about and are truly an idiot. This game had the feel of 2006 to me but we gutted it out and made the key plays.

Having been to AU on two separate occasions, it stands out in my mind as clearly the toughest place to play in the SEC outside of Tiger Stadium.

It may not have the number of fans at UT, UF, an UA, but AU is a special atmosphere that gets amped up unlike any other away stadium in the country.

I have seen all of the big ones in the SEC firsthand and I do not flinch saying that AU at night is the toughest I have seen (other than TS).

Loud stadiums are tough on the OL. A half second against Lemonier can be impossible to make up.

Apparently Auburn is a place you can guarantee to piss your pants if youre an opposing team player or coach. You just instantly go into the fetal position and youre lucky if you can breathe right.

I was actually watching the game with a former Miami Hurricane who played DT for their MNC team awhile back, and a former FB who played at Louisville under Schnellenberger, and both said they loved to play in away games because they loved going in with the us vs. the world mentality and shutting up the crowd. For LSU what better opportunity to do that than last night? Auburn not playing so well this year, clearly not very good, and 90k Auburn fans cheering...shut them up? Nah, we're too scared.

Then why the frick was Auburn 1-2 going into our game yesterday? Again, AUBURN SUCKS arse. Google: Kiehl Frazier and read how bad that guy is and what they think of him. Guy SUCKS. See September 15, 2012 JORDAN-HARE STADIUM Auburn vs. Louisiana-Monroe. End of story.

Frazier didn't play a terrible game. It was actually one of his best games as the AU QB. The guy has talent, but he typically looks lost out there.

Lemonier will most likely be a first round talent that was amped up last night in a night home game. Him and Dee Ford are very good football players that pressured our tackles.

Alatiger "at the game" perspective is right on. Well explained.

Let's not forget that we are routinely playing 20-22 freshman and RS freshman along with a new starting QB who experienced their first intense SEC away game against a team who was desperate given the way they started the season. This game will be a huge learning lesson without it being a loss.

I walked away strangely proud of the way Auburn showed up. This game was a signature moment for their season win or lose. By the end of the season, I bet they will continue to improve and have a winning season.

Auburn was a much better team and Frazier a much better QB than you saw the first couple of games. It happens to young teams, Auburn has a lot of talent but just hasn't put it together.

LSU basically dominated the game, just not the scoreboard. One or two plays and lSU blows this thing apart. Miles was content to just win.

Not sure why people are pissed about this win. I have watched LSU football for a few decades now and predicted the first half would be extremely disappointing to LSU fans, turns out the whole game was including the final score, evidently.

shite happens. LSU outplayed Auburn, looked bad doing it and still won. Stuff like that happens in the first conference game of the year, on the road...sometimes. See Moo U last year.

This game will help LSU down the road. It was the wake up call LSU needed.

I'll say this too, I am surprised LSU won last night with the way the game unfolded. Going into the game, I felt we would show up and with a couple of breaks early might be able to make some noise. We got the early breaks.

At halftime, I expected AU to win. By the time the time the 4th quarter started, I was damn confident seeing the sky high emotion our defense was playing with and the way the crowd had them in a frenzy.

It is not often we lose at JH when the crowd is amped like it was last night.

So congrats on the win, you guys earned it the hard way and it will pay dividends down the road. Best thing that could have happened to LSU this year IMO and a perfect primer for the Swamp in a few weeks.

thanks. That does bring some context to the situation we were in last night. Auburn team and the crowd seemed to be fired up as any team/crowd coulde be. Was do or die situation for them. I'm feeling a little better about the win.

Not agreed. The OL never had me as concerned last year the way I am about it this year.

They do this every home game

They do it at away games too. They just don't play "All The Above" during it. Obviously.
