I don’t care about what’s good for O, I want what’s best for LSU - and that ain’t O.

I do. I hope he got the shite with the divorce behind him. I hope the coordinators figure it out. I don’t want to start over. I want Brad Davis to recruit OL and get to teach them up.

I get where you're coming from, but I can't support it. This is where I was at the end of last year. I was pleased with how he got kept the team together at the end of the year and then how he got so most of the draft eligible guys to return. Between the new hires, all the guys coming back, and another great recruiting class, I had high expectations for this year and was totally willing to write last year off as just a divorce/pandemic/BLM fueled disaster.

But, then the UCLA game happened and I realized that the CEO model, with Orgeron as the CEO just isn't ever going to work for sustainable success. He is simply TOO reliant on other coaches and can't figure out the answers on his own.

I've been pleased with the improvement the team has made this year, but if we're being honest, we've gone from like a D- to a C. I'm looking forward to seeing the team improve as the year goes on and am pulling for them to win every game, but I've seen enough of Orgeron now.

Sure. I want to win definitely. But he has to hit a number this year.

For me that number is 8-4. We can't be a 7-5 or worse anymore not without the coach being on the heatseat at a minimum.

Why is 8-4 acceptable? This isn't a coach in his second year coming into a rebuild. This is Orgeron's 5th full season and coming off a .500 season.

I give him a lot of credit for stabilizing the program after the last few tumultuous years under Miles, but I don't think he's the guy who can get the program consistently competing for the SEC championship, which should be the goal.

But got damnit O. I know he wants LSU to win. It’s going to be ugly but just win

O wants LSU to win. So do I.

O can’t coach. Neither can I.

Wanting to win is not the same as winning.

I never liked O and that’s not changed. He is a joke but I don’t ever want LSU to lose and won’t pull against the team bc of the coach I hope they win out.

this is not 1998 son.

If this were 1998, we’d be buying out O’s contract to the tune of $300k per contract year instead of $13-$20 million currently.

I don't have any emotional attachment to O, but have supported him as HC because I wanted him to succeed because the biproduct is LSU succeeds. I agree we can't keep starting over with coaches, but at the same time there needs to be an honest discussion by the LSU AD as to whether O can consistently deliver success.

I somewhat understood 2020 because the 2019 team was dismantled from players to staff along with all of the other outside issues. Making bad hires though is unacceptable if you are incapable of coaching either side of the ball. This team has to make big strides the rest of the season and be back in contention in 2022 or there really is no choice except to make a change at HC.

I agree with you. He can sure piss us off at times, but wishing for O to go is wishing for LSU to suck.

Anybody downvote this means it’s personal. O never gonna be your friend regardless. I want my team to win, O’s as good a guy as any to do it.

It makes perfect sense when you factor in contract money and the fact that O is two seasons removed from a national championship without a losing record (so far) during COVID seasons.

He is fired at 7-5. In fact if he doesn’t beat AU and UK he will not make the season.

Secondly, I love how you shite heads come on here and spout shite which you know nothing about. GO READ HIS CONTRACT SPECIFICALLY NCAA VIOLATIONS OF ASSISTANT COACHES AND HIS CONDUCT.
He admitted to this LAST season ie no bowl game and then Cregg was fired for NCAA Violations. Cregg is suing and knows that O knows.

Also, look at the conduct of the players under his watch.

Here’s an article on Miles where there was 9 left and LSU settled for 1.5 and there wasn’t a dark cloud over him like Orgeron. LINK

Nice sarcasm dickhead. I bet you said the same stuff in 2017 and after every loss in 2018 and look what he did in 2019. If this board had their way we never win that title. It's so pathetic how negative and miserable some of you are. Y'all act like O has never struggled and turned it around. He embarrassed the hell out yalls hot takes when he was hired and y'all have been scrambling ever since to prove you were right. If he doesn't get it together he needs to go but that attitude many of you have is absolutely pathetic.

I hope Coach O proves all of you wrong. He has had some huge obstacles so far..
Last year---Everyone left. covid

This year--QB broke an arm. TE missed home. Now Stingley may want out. Had to start Soph QB, New OLC and DLC need time to get going, Lost starting O linemen, Lost AA last week, Starting RB cant pass grades or whatever, I mean this year has been rough on him.

Coach O has done great at recruiting. Needs to find a few more but i have faith.
Have faith LSU can turn it around---Right now its us vs the world.
