but, why did it take two to three days and damage control coaching by the LSU sports information department for miles to take it like a man ?? after the game, he was deflecting blame, throwing players under the bus ...

I don't disagree with you at all. All I said was last night was a step in the right direction.

thank you for the positive post.
i also am grateful for miles and the team and lsu.
ranturds and boogers show their nurturing mentality when they are soooo negative. they are classic case studies used in freshman psychology. not bad people, just disturbed.

thanks for the rationality and maturity and realism.

This might be acceptable , but to repeatedly mismanage game situations ,while being one of the top five paid coaches in the nation ???? This isn't the first time this assclown has boggled my mind . I won't point out the blunders again . If you believe someone is gonna wave a magic wand and make this guy a coach I have some land I'll sell ya . He's a great character guy , didn't leave blahh , blah , blah . 3 and 5 last year (1 SEC win at home) and 3 sec losses so far .
I will be at the game Saturday supporting the team and I will go to Dallas should we make the Cotton Bowl . Don't come here with the bandwagon shite .
Jordy protected him from the tough questions and he bullshitted through the ones they couldn't escape .

It's entertainment, Ace. If they lose, I'm upset for a bit but move on. Last night I went to a movie and got laid by my wife . Tonight I'm going to a basketball game. I post on this board for fun and to occasionally frick with people.

IT'S STILL A frickING GAME THAT SHOULDN'T AFFECT PEOPLE'S LIVES AS MUCH AS THEY ALLOW IT TO DO.

This wasn't just something stupid now and then. This wasn't just a simple frickup.

This was gross incompetence of the highest order.

Ridiculous playcalling, obscene clock management, confused players, an inability to think ahead, unready substitutions... these were MULTIPLE screwups, followed by lies for explanations.

Maybe we Les critics might be mollified if he didn't have a history of this sort of thing, or if a talented team didn't set some sort of record for underachievement, or if he didn't make four million bucks per year in a shitty economy.

Crap like this WILL happen again because he's LES MILES. You might be "satisfied", as he was with SEC officials rationalizing a Patrick Peterson screw job, but don't expect reasonable fans to be.

For myself, I won't go against the "family" esp. the "LSU family". I support all the LSU coaches and team thru it all. The outcome of the LSU-OM game may be a blessing in disguise as it has given new life to both sides of the Tiger fan coin esp. for those with prior grievances to not hold back and say what is on their minds. We needed another "earthquake" at LSU all the while telling the rest of the college football nation and the media vultures that we are LSU forever. Mrs. Cats

At the very least, if not get behind him, folks need to remain behind the players and focus on "LSU" and not let any contempt for Miles bleed over into the team.

Most of the Miles bashers are flute players who hate Miles,Crowton, and Jimbo Fisher..They think all you do is call plays.
They never took part in a football practice in their life,
They give themselves away by the stupidity of their posts.

To me, by now everything he says has been doctored and he's been "coached" up on what to say. His most honest assessment of what happened came right after the game in the interviews with Jordy and Tracy Wolfson.....he didn't know what the hell happened! That's the real Miles.

Well I been following the tigers since I was 10 years old, I am 56 now, and let me tell you guys, LSU is in their Golden Years now....enjoy it. I remember wishing that one day I would see a national championship for LSU. I have been fortunate enough to see 2, and will possibly see more.....the future looks bright for LSU with it's talent ........ Here's hoping Les get's it fixed!

how can people still make excuses for a person that has been in and around the game of football for probably 45+ years as either a player or a coach to make mistakes a 9 year old playing madden on xbox wouldn't make with clock management is beyond me ..

That is easy. Because this man is actually coaching on the sidelines of a major college game instead of the sidelines of a elementary school or sitting on his arse in front of a TV with a game controller.

In others words, it is real life with much higher stakes. People make mistakes under stress. Miles screwed up and admitted it. A freaking 9 year old can hit "reset" and start anew.

And yet they remain high school coaches with all that ability...

You know, I wonder when he got home did the wife just say in a loving voice "WTF were you thinking dear?" Or did she run him a bath, put his favorite Barney bubbles in the tub and then ask the question? Who knows? HA!! I bet he got home his wife hugged him and then let him alone...
