I’m not going to make any predictions on who we beat or not. But I will say that I do believe we will continue to see this defense improve.

There is no evidence it will not get better either. The defense did improve over two weeks. As Saban said you cannot stop the pass oriented spread offenses. The tactic is to make some big plays. Sacks.. interceptions. Key stops... the days of defenses shutting down offenses are over until they catch up.

It better or he needs to move on. This whole make it simpler talk is really irritating. Do we make it so simple that the opposing team can figure it out on the first series or by watching film. Is it his communication skills then?

i wish i had confidence but, i see players not shedding blocks, not setting the edge, taking bad angles. that's just basic effort and want to and instinct. couple that with pelini's comment that this is about the simplest scheme he's ever run, that tells me the players just aren't where they need to be. maybe the coaching can fix that but, it doesn't look good. we'll have to outscore teams and hope cb's can get a pick or 2 if the players don't get the cobwebs cleared out.
