If he has a career in the NFL it will be at WR, IMO.

I completely agree. If what is being reported about Daniels is true, it's that his speed would be elite and he would be considered one of the fastest players in the NFL if he was in the league right now. If he is 2nd or 3rd on the depth chart and he really is that fast, don't the coaches have to attempt to get him to take reps at WR?

Daniels did it in the Pac12, Brennan did it in the SEC

What? Brennan’s last 3 games(2020) was against Miss St, Mizzou, and Vandy. That’s his SEC starts.

Like another poster mentioned, a lot of y’all are just posting opinions. I’m just trying to post factual stuff.

Right, and UCLA beat LSU way more handily last year than Bama did. People act like the pac 12 is the freaking Southland conference.

How many College Playoff games has the Pac12 participated in?

IMO Lamar Jackson wouldn’t have been as great in the SEC

The guy was MVP of the NFL. I think he could handle the SEC.

Outside of Oklahoma, Clemson, and Ohio State, who has done anything from other conferences during the CFP era? The PAC isn’t less quality than the other conferences outside of the SEC.

But he didn't show much of anything in the spring game to signal that he will be a star for us this coming season.

You can't tell much of anything from the spring game other than players showing a few flashes here and there. Even Burrow's numbers were mediocre in the spring game.

Daniels has a strong arm, but accuracy is the issue for him. If he improves his accuracy, he could be a very dangerous QB with his great running ability. All of our QBs have some strong skills, but the SEC is no joke, so you have to be good at reading the D and being calm in the pocket while knowing when to get out.

Where does the inaccurate talk come from when referring to Daniels? He has a higher career completion percentage than Brennan while having almost identical passing yards per attempt stats

Or maybe just the inability to throw in a conference where you have to pass the ball efficiently. Couldn't be that. Has to be skin color. Plenty of the same skin color that get a ton of love from the same posters

Well, you have me at strong arm and wheels. Accuracy is yet to be seen. He gets a bit of a pass from the spring game because he was in the middle of changing his mechanics. If he’s still inaccurate I don’t see him getting anywhere this year. Glad he was working with the WR’s this offseason though. I like to see that.

His career numbers.

Keep moving those goalposts. Brennan’s 3 SEC starts were against Mississippi State at home and the vaunted Vanderbilt and Missouri defenses on the road in front of no fans due to COVID.

But not QBs. They are judged differently. Jamarcus Russell was the best LSU QB of most of our lives until Joe Burrow, but there are still people here who are convinced that he sucked.
