Yep 3rd down and turnovers are why we beat Bama last year and it will certainly be a major factor in this game.

Clemson just needs to fly down to NOLA, get their arse-whippin, and go home.

It would be great if Clemson decided to try to have long, grinding drives. That provides more opportunities for stops. Combine that with LSU scoring in 2 minutes or less every time and we have a blow out for the good guys

on defense....my biggest fear is us going to BBDB

LSU will have success vs. Rushing the football...there will be a broken play or 3 to screw up stats, but it won't be a consistent rushing attack...
Clemson will take many risks going down the field...I expect 10+ targets at 20+ yards OR MORE if Clemson hopes to win...
They will likely hit 4-5 of them

Yep. I completely agree. Clemson needs to eat the clock, keep LSU off the field, and put points up on every drive. They also need to create a turnover or two to flip some LSU scoring opportunities into Clemson opportunities. This is the real key to the game. Can Clemson steal some possessions from LSU?

They better get first downs by running the ball or the game will be out of their hands soon. OU tried to run and slow down. They couldn't get first down and LSU ran away with it

Whatever they do, Burrow and the OCs will adjust. This offense can attack from anywhere. If Venebales doesn’t sub an extra CB in place of safeties to cover the slot... they have zero chance of stopping us. Their safeties have been getting exposed by the slot all year, but no one has been good enough to consistently take advantage.

If they sub CB to cover in the slot then we can just change to a running formation and CEH can eat. One of our biggest advantages is that we can play wide open and fast or smash mouth power with the same 11 guys. Is Moss a blocker or an extra receiver? Is CEH a power running back or an extra slot receiver? Is Chase running down the field to catch a deep ball or just to drag 2 players down the field with him so we can run? They all excel at ether role.

Guy this isn’t the first time they’ve played a great offense

Refer to last year’s championship for a blue print of what to expect

They're not really a physical running team though...what is this based off of?

I was surprised OU did not go this route in mid-2nd quarter down 28-7 when it was obvious that they were in danger of getting embarrassed.

I would love to see Dabo adopt a strategy to shorten the game when they are behind. "Maybe if they only beat us by 21 instead of 49 then it won't hurt recruitment."

Etienne is a good back, but Clemson is not a grind offense. They make most of their points off of big plays.

100% agree. Which Is why I said they may slow us down in spurts, but we can adjust and attack them from anywhere.

But we've watched our slot receiver torch opposing safeties all year. If they get even 1 step out of position, Burrow and Jefferswag score a TD. If Clemson leaves safeties to cover Jefferson they are done. They need to put a true cover guy over our slot... and then as you point out we will just burn them from somewhere else on the field.

If our defense plays the way they have these last several weeks it will be hard for clemson to slow the game down if their offense repeatedly goes 3 and out.

This is the first time this season they have. That was a different team. The 4 DL got drafted in the first two rounds from that team. CB Trayvon Mullen and WR Hunter Refrow (college football's Julian Edelman).
