One of the things I hated about Les Miles was that he would stick with "his guy" to a fault. See the date that shall not be mentioned.

BK, and the whole coaching staff, have changed the lineup to put the best 11 players on the field nearly every week. It shows too.

I get the impression that BK wouldn't think twice about yanking JD if he isn't producing.

It doesn't matter which QB starts the Tenn game. I think BK has shown that he isn't afraid to make a change immediately.

No he wont! Have you actually watched any of Nuss last week? If you have not then you desperately need to! Anyone that watched that guy versus Southern or Auburn and is calling for him to be the starter or replace Daniels is either straight up stupid or insane!

You need to look up the definition of that word. The only reason JD came out last week is because he hurt himself falling down.

Doesn't matter. BK will try the next guy.

LSU can't start slow again. If it starts looking like JD is scared to throw downfield still, BK will try something new.

JD is BKs guy he just needs to improve, besides Nussmeier has not shown enough to take JDs place

It’s so crazy how someone can post something and I have an immediate reaction (in this case I said and replace him with who) and you scroll down and everyone’s reaction is the exact same thing. It makes you wonder how the OP has such a different thought process from everyone.

If Nuss is better than JD, he would be starting.

I may be willing to buy that some play better than they practice, but Jayden is probably a little more careful with the ball than Nuss is.

Problem is we need someone in the middle. That's likely Walker Howard, but he's a true Freshman.

I get blasted, but This is Jordan Jefferson all over again.

BK knows you have to crack a few eggs to make an omelet. He’s been begging JD to take shots downfield. He’s not going to pull him for pushing the envelope or throwing a pick or two. That’s what’s he’s been trying to get him to do

I think it's plausible. Just listen to BKs press conference earlier this week. He flat-out acknowledges our passing game is anemic and has to change in order to be competitive against the upcoming tougher portion of the schedule. If he sees no improvement this week and he has explicitly stated it has to improve then logically he would be willing to switch to Nuss. Personally, I think Nuss didn't win the position battle for two reasons: JD has a lot more playing experience and BK, Denbrock wanted a dual-threat QB. Nuss is mobile but not a runner so he's not the exact fit they were looking for and hence why Brennan didn't win the job either. It appears to me there have only been a few purposeful QB-designed runs being called thus far for JD. That being said, Nuss could probably run the majority of offense Denbrock's been calling if he can improve his decision-making.

Nuss is eerily similar to Max Johnson if we’re being honest.

Nuss pressed against Southern and threw INTs . He did quite nicely against NM state .
He was put in a very difficult situation against Auburn and had two staight out embarrasing drops and another contested ball that could have been caught . I think he is green but can do a very good job . Like CBK says , he needs to let the game come to him and not press . You have to actually WATCH the game not listen to pundits .

Let's see how he does on Saturday. Both he and BK have publicly acknowledged that we have to get better at throwing the ball. Unless it's just lip service, Kelly is expecting JD to do better. If JD is ineffective, I would hope that BK would pull him and at least try Nuss, if only for a couple of series.

Other schools seem to be able to plug in new QBs and they do great, yet we suffer with horrific QB play as the rule, not the exception. Who was the last QB that LSU recruited and actually developed? Was it Flynn?
