I agree...but the kink is if both JD and Nuss stay.

Unfortunately I don’t see any way Nuss sticks around if Daniels stays

It just doesn’t make much sense for him

Also, he has connections with TCU

Last year, Kelly had Brennan, Nuss and Howard. CBK still added Daniels from the portal.

If Daniels declares, that leaves Nuss, Howard and Collins. That's not very difference in terms of overall experience. There will be interest from inside and outside LSU for an experienced QB transfer.

I think this is overblown. Yea, his dad coaches for the Cowboys and he went to high school not too far away from Fort Worth. But he has a ton of family in Louisiana and they spend a lot of time in BR. I think his parents may even own a condo or townhouse near campus.

If Nuss is the starter, then Howard has to sit for 2, likely 3 more years and gets 1 year as starter for LSU.

No way if Nuss is good enough to start next year that he's going to stay in college for 3 more seasons. There is a better chance of him putting up big numbers and going to the draft after 1 year than there is him being good enough to start for 3 years here and staying all 3 of those years.

Why?

A huge amount of people on this board think Daniels won't get drafted, so beating him out should be easy and no signal of Nuss's NFL projections.
