Honestly, it's got to be a bitch to call plays when neither you nor the HC have ANY confidence in your QB and, YOUR OPPONENTS know it.

With 3rd and 2 opponents should be worried about a big pass play enough to leave some room in the running game. Not with LSU. Opponents sell out to stop the run. Hell, they do that 98% of the time in anything that isn't an OBVIOUS passing situation just daring JJ to beat em.

Crowton blows but his QB make hims blow times 10.

well, when its 3rd and 1 what do you do,,,,,,line up in the shotgun and run a toss sweep. Almost as bad as andy reid lining m. vick up in shotgun to run up the middle on 4 and 1.

A run on 3rd & 2 is what 99.9% of football coaches would call with the RBs we have on the roster. I feel the tug of war between head coach and coordinator will doom any QB we decide to play.

Amen... He didn't suck in 07. I wonder why he could be good then and suck now?

And he didn't run his offense in 2007.

Unless Jefferson played QB for BYU in 2002, 2003, and 2004, and for Oregon in 2006, then this is just par for the Crowton course.

3rd and one, fourth and 1, you use your speed to get the down. If you want to power it up the middle you do it with the power I.

This spread crap is just that.

Yeah especially when it's all his fault.

Absolutely. BUT, the reason that can be effective is that the defense has to at least CONSIDER the pass.

Because Matt Flynn was the product of 4 years of Jimbo Fisher's coaching and because thankfully Miles made him keep the bulk of Fisher's offense for the 2007 season with the exception of the Pistol package.

Today when you watch both JJ and JL you are watching the products of Crowton coaching.

Then why don't they bench him and give JL or RS or anyone else a shot? This is so frustrating to watch.

Be honest. If you were a LB or more importantly, a safety, aint it a bit easier to play LSU when you are so much less worried about the pass????

Forget about RS, he's a WR. And remember last year with JL replaced JJ in the Bama game and then started and played the entire game against La Tech. Indeed, I don't think I ever watched an LSU quarterback play so incompetently.

Is it their faults they are so horrible? What do you expect when you have an incompetent coaching them?

Perrilloux was doing alright under the same coaching staff before he screwed that up for himself and Zach Lee was challenging for a starting job after spending ONE SUMMER working out with the team.

So why is it that these players can succeed where others fail?

In 2007 Perrilloux was still the product of Jimbo Fisher's coaching and the offense that LSU ran in 2007 was Jimbo Fisher's with the exception of the Pistol package.

With respect to Zach Lee, if you believe that Zach Lee was challenging for a starting job after one summer working out, then you need to get off of crack.

So Miles had his new OC learn the old OC's playbook and style for one year in order to keep continuity for a 5th yr SR?

and I thought the depth of human stupidity had certainly already been probed...

Yeah you are a 10 on the stupidity scale. But I'm not the only one on this board that remembers well that in 2007 LSU ran Fisher's offense with the exception of the Pistol package because both Flynn and Perrilloux were the products of Fisher's coaching.
