After the Cowboys sign Peyton, the Saints decide to clean house. They trade Drew Brees to the Jets for their 1st rd pick and select Matt Barkley, the next great USC QB to dominate the NFL.

R. Wilson 9/23 (39.1%) 122 yds 0 TDs 1 int, 2 sacks, one for a safety; 3 rushes 10 yds

And that was with Marshawn going for over 100 yards, and A. Smith was their starter.

I suspect some serious crow eating after this weekend

REALLY???

So you're saying one game makes a season?

OK, then look at the rest of his games this year:

213/330 (65%) 2575 yds 21 TD 8 ints

R. Wilson is not the only QB who has struggled against the 49ers.

And what the frick does A. Smith being the starter have anything to do with R. Wilson's performance. Was A. Smith playing defense that game?

Jets are desperate
They will look at draft
They will explore free agency - Flynn, Alex Smith, Vick will all be available
Working a trade for someone like Ryan Mallet could be explored

Arizona will be in the market for a QB

You can't use a game like THAT to show Seattle's qb's ability! What are you trying to do, confuse the herd with logic?!?!??!

How the hell is one bad game out of 14 a good way to judge a quarterback? Brees had a game against the Falcons where he threw for 0 TD's and 5 INT's. By your logic, he is just horrible because he had one bad game. The fact is, everyone has an off game eventually.

Their QB is mediocre. Was that not obvious??? And do you think Seattle is a really good team? Watch them get smoked the moment they play a road playoff game.

Clearly you don't watch pro football

ETA: Just read the thread. Some of you people sounds like complete idiots. Russell Wilson is a baller.

Based on the Jets decision making of late, this is a real possibility!

FIFY

That Flynn is not the future of the Seattle franchise.
That said, why would Seattle let him go. Every team is one torn ACL or major concussion from needing their backup to be competent.
Where's Flynn's replacement in Seattle coming from? And what do the Jets have that Seattle wants or needs?

Your statements, Guy Sajer, tell me that you are an idiot. I hated to see Flynn lose out to Wilson, but I would hardly call his season mediocre. Dan Patrick thinks that Flynn could end up in Jacksonville and will be a big time QB when given an opportunity. Maybe we can have the front offices contact you when assessing the options for Matt Flynn.

Umm, no.

Having said that, I've always thought Flynn was a good quality NFL back up. Not a 16 game a year starter.

I don't think Peyton's leaving Denver. And why would that affect the Saints?

Wilson was arguably worth a 1st round pick.
