I don't have an issue with it. Its a fun little challenge that everyone of the teams participate in. And they find a charity to give a portion of the raised money to so really its not that big of a deal.

I didn't find that it was nearly as big of a story as it was a couple of years ago.

It’s “God” and I thought all the money went to charity?

Exactly

If LSU fans are not participating it's because they aren't there.

And that ain't good.

Nah egomaniacs like Gordon Mckenrnan and Todd Graves will make sure it still goes around.

No need to compare graves to Gordon. Making money selling fried chicken is thousand time more respectable than chasing ambulances

The rise and fall of the jello shot challenge is fascinating to me, especially from a group psychology standpoint.

First, we loved it because of the novelty. It was a challenge and it was drinking. Of course LSU had to nut up and not just win but break the freaking thermometer by which it was measured. That's just who we are. It also gave the fans something to compete in since on the field we are just spectators. It was US winning.

Second, it became tainted with corporate money and the fans became spectators again. It quickly went from being this grass roots awesomeness to losing its luster when we realized 2 guys with deep pockets were winning it for us.

Third, I stand with Coop.

Forth, this year of course we came and did it but it was no longer the "cool" thing to do. The shine is so far gone because we know if it does start to become fun it will just be taken away by Gordon and Todd again. Plus, all the fighting and stuff that made them close that just ruined the vibe of the bar in general.

I'm kind of with you. I've never been to Omaha so not sure when and how this got started, but in '23 I thought it was o.k. - first I'd heard of it and we were trying to beat Ole Miss's record from the previous year.

But now that I think of it - yeah - jello shots....sounds Ole Missish. I kinda hope we move on and it doesn't become one of those traditions like mint juleps at the Derby or Pimento cheese sandwiches at the Masters....things folks really don't like but feel compelled to do because "you're supposed to".

I agree. It needs to be replaced with the “Lines off a Stripper’s Stomach” challenge!

The fact that Rocco’s has had four years of crazy success with this thing and hasn’t invested in an instant tally sign is crazy to me

It’s cool until someone beats us and then no one cares about it.

I hope it does, being that something so minuscule bothers some of you idiots this much.

Who gives a shite? Scroll on past the post on this.

Iran and Israel are lobbing bombs at each other.

OMG, the Jello shot contest.

Handily. Came a few thousand short of the '23 record. It's just not even a competition anymore if LSU is there. LSU could be the first team eliminated and would probably still win.
