Condolences. Making it to 91 is a hell of a feat and you can look back at all the years you had with your dad creating and sharing great memories.
I'm sure all those angst filled, rebellious teen years are distant memories, replaced by a more mature level of love and respect a father and son share as they you matured into the role of an adult.

What a great life he lived and obviously with the love of his life. I’m sure you learned so many great things from a wonderful man. I hate that I put BS like work and success ahead of spending time with my dad and son.
This modern pace of life has really messed up the ability to spend enough time with those that matter. My condolences to you and your poor mom.
Thanks for sharing and for the unintended reminder to spend time with those you love.

Sorry for your loss. Did y’all happen to sit in section 300. If so your seats were right over our 4. There was an older gentleman and his daughter who sat there since i was kid. Again condolences.

Prayers my friend. I lost my dad when I was 35 years old and he was my best friend as well. Fast forward 30 years later and it still hurts so bad to think about my dad not being there. So I really do feel your pain my friend and I hope you’re grieving. Is not too bad.

We sat on the 24 yard line East side second row from top of the lower bowl until the Skipper started the Tradition Fund.
Dad (having been born in the Depression) refused to pay an extra $850 for tickets so we moved across the wall to Section 244 of the north end zone where the fee was more palatable.

Sorry you lost your dad so young.
I was so fortunate to have him for almost 60 years.
The bad thing is I watched him die for 18 hours with other family members.
I prefer to remember LSU games not the past few days.

I'm happy y'all got to share in your love for LSU sports together for as long as y'all did. Particularly this past year's magical football season. Certainly something to be cherished beyond a typical parent/child journey through life.

I’m so sorry for your loss. I lost my mom 20 years ago and I still miss her, especially during football and baseball season. She would have LOVED this championship season. But I know she was watching them from Heaven, and now your dad will watch them from above too. RIP sweet man.
