I think it was during the 2010 Auburn game but he said Les called him over to the sideline saying, "Hey, did you see that?". The ref was looking around like, "see what?". Miles pointed about 5 or 6 rows up and said, "That guy in the white shirt just made his wife go get him a hot dog. And you know what, he'll probably complain when she gets back that there ain't enough mustard on it."

The ref couldn't believe it cause the tension was so high in this game. He said he was scared to death of making a bad call while Les was over there cracking jokes.

I think Les is a good guy and a very good recruiter. He is however only as good as his assistant coaches. When he hires good coaches then his teams do good. Thankfully he is a good coach to work for so many coaches want to be here. Les is not a guru of any part of the game like Saban and will struggle if he can't have the CEO type roll.

Saban is NOT a guru any more than Miles is. Football is just not that complicated. Basically, anything so complex that Les can't master it is too complex to be taught to college ball players.

What separates miles and Saban is that Saban's kids play with more discipline, and Miles kids play with more spirit.

Sounds about right. Cracking jokes instead of coaching in key moments.

Are you sure? It is a roll or a biscuit? Butter or margarine?

This is the same guru that got his butt busted by the NFL?

Wow, what a profound statement.

All coaches are only as good as the guys coaching under them and the players playing for them.

If you think Saban or Meyer or Kelly or any top programs don't have top assistants working under them, then you are a tool who doesn't know the first thing about what it takes to maintain a top program.

Like I said earlier, he told several stories. But they were all about Miles because he said he was definitely the most unique coach in the SEC.

Les is a true gentleman. He loves his kids & does anything he can to help them improve. The players play for him because he is like a friend instead their boss. Get over it in the SEC u are not going to win every game! & welcome aboard to the Gump.
