The Florida situation that appears to be a positive to you was handled very poorly by our incompetent AD.

The fact that he didn’t want to get in a bidding war over Tom Herman will be his legacy here. GETTING IN BIDDING WARS IS YOUR frickING JOB, JOE.

Eta: and then he admits he didn’t want to get in a bidding war because he thought that justified the hiring of Ed O. Which just makes the whole thing worse.

Maybe, don't know details but what you going to do when goat LSU coach is putting pressure on you

2 basketball hire failures, Florida hurricane PR night

Trent everybody thought that was a great hire. Johnny jones was forced on him

Herman situation, Orgeron hire

Process was bizarre but Herman was never coming here. So you could have the best ad in the world and Herman would still not be here

Right, this is what EVeryone says.... Yet no one can tell me actual factual shite. It's just Joe sucks blah blah Joe did this shite blah blah Joe hired Ed o without a search blah blah.....nothing else

How is it not a fact that firing Les Miles to hire Ed Orgeron was horrific? I mean come on

What exactly has he proven to deserve a big time job like this despite a massive failure at his last head coaching gig?

You are delusional

Joe Alleva has done some good things. However, he’s had some MAJOR missteps...Miles/Arky/contract, Miles firing fiasco, 2 basketball hire failures, Florida hurricane PR nightmare, Orgeron hire He may love LSU, but at the end of the day he has lost the support of his constituents. Therefore, whether you agree or disagree with his dismissal, the fact remains that he doesn’t have the mandate or the power to move LSU athletics forward. His tenure is over.

Spot on. LSU is about to suffer majorly in terms of donations. I, for one, have turned LSU down for any donations until that idiot is gone. I am in no way a big money player. However, I do pledge a decent amount of money to LSU every year above normal ticket monies. My single donations will not make or break LSU. Even so, I know many people who have done the same. In total it will be substantial. I do not know one person who says a good thing about Alleva. I have a very good friend who contributes far more money than I could ever contribute. He is in the mid 5 figures in annual contributions. He has suspended any contributions to LSU athletics. I am pretty sure enough of those are occurring to get noticed by the LSU BOS.

Like I said, at this stage it’s pointless to review history. If you’re an LSU fan, and want LSU athletics to move forward and progress, JA has no power to make that happen. He is effectively powerless, so whether you agree with his moves or not, it doesn’t matter. We are where we are.

Yes, we all know Jones was forced on him, but O absolutely was not forced on him. Its shocking you're carrying on with this Alleva campaign. Either you're courting his daughter or son or sucking his pecker or all the above.

Fair enough, dudes gotten a bad rap though. Cared much more about LSU and gave it his best (if his days are done) for LSU a lot more than people thought.

He hired 2 men’s basketball coaches who he had to fire for underperformance.

He hired a Football coach with a losing HCing records to replace a 100 win coach. The best thing that can be said about that hire so far is that it is early and he hasn’t proven it’s a bad hire.

I’d love to hear you explain the metric by which you came to this conclusion. Seriously. I’m still bummed out by the suicide of Anthony Bourdain and would appreciate a good laugh.

Complete BS. When he was bashing fans for leaving football games at halftime, I sat 2 rows behind him at an LSU basketball game. Guess when he left that game.

I have talked with him 1 on 1 also. He doesnt have a clue.

You're entitled to your own opinion, but so are the rest of us that hate alleva. But he ruined people's lives at Duke and he hired a proven failure as a head coach we don't have to like him.

Clearly his finest moment was the forced resignation of the Duke lacrosse coach prior to any evidentiary findings. Joe was oh so quick to side with the slut bag who had everyone in Durham’s DNA up in her EXCEPT the lacrosse players.
