Preseason rankings take into account coaching abilities, and our coaching staff has consistently showed the ability to blow leads and play down to the competition.
well except for 2011 when we blew ranked team after ranked team out

we have to stop beating inferior teams by minuscule amounts
or we could continue beating good teams on the schedule. A&M is getting respect this year for what they did last year. How'd they do against Ole Miss? La Tech?

The defense won't be good enough to cover up Miles' blunders, hell the last few defenses weren't good enough to cover it up and they were Top 5 in the country

2001, 2003, 2005, 2007, 2011. 2009 is an outlier.

That's by your definition. Most rational folks say respect is all in the w's and l's. it seems that to some LSU fans we just don't win "correctly". Not pretty enough. One day, and I hope it's not soon, we'll all look back on these years and realize "what were we thinking?" These are the golden years of LSU football. Enjoy them. They won't be here forever.

BR has progressed considerably not only in content and accuracy, but also in delivery. I actually like their abbreviated approach to the sporting news in such a high speed world we live in.

Only LSU fans would dis 9 wins.

I've been reading BR for a while and most of their actually paid staff writers really know what they are talking about.
I saw this this yesterday and I was like(at least somebody gets it).

You do remember we lost the Chick-Fil-A Bowl to Clemson?
Best thing that could have happened. Lose a meaningless bowl game, and gain motivation for the whole offseason.

I don't think you have an accurate view on how the rest of the country sees LSU. I've lived in the northeast, California, and Florida. LSU is generally seen as one of the top few programs in the country.

Looking forward to a great year! Yes we lost some talent, a lot of talent, but its not like we don't have talent returning. As much as it pains me to say this, last years team seemed uninspired at times. With the feeling of intitlement gone, that shouldn't be an issue this year. Looking for lots if life out of this team. Talent will be there.

This happens at every program. Literally every single one.

Stop giving that garbage website hits.
They probably write the article WITH LSU FANS IN MIND.
It isn't about journalism, it's about hits.

the only way to get respect is to beat bama. The loss to Clemson started the latest round of disrespect. That game impressed no one.Do you remember the Ole Miss game? Just as bad, losing to bama in the last 60 seconds. I fully understand where the media is coming from. A&M's body of work was much more impressive, even though we beat them. We got them early in the season. They would have SFCK us if we had played them around thanksgiving.

So you would rather the anomaly be counted as the norm? That is par for this board.
