He’s lost a lot of us this year. I never said a bad word about the guy until this season.

This board would not have given Sully a chance to win his first championship. Took him 6 tries in Omaha.

They would've fired Dabo Swinney as well

We were a national seed from 2012-2017 and there were fire CPM threads.

This season is the first time where parting ways with Paul actually has slight merit to at least consider other options down the road.

i understand that. just saying a lot of us who have been in his corner have jumped ship. it's not just the same old complainers.

I agree, count me in that same boat.

But the idea that the rant wouldn't complain if Sully were to do at LSU what he has done at Florida is laughable.

You could argue that Mainieri's career at LSU is better than Sully's career at Florida.

Florida had a terrible season in 2013, finishing w a losing record, and rebounded the following year and then proceeded to go to Omaha 4 straight years. Bad seasons are going to happen in baseball, even for good coaches and good programs.

eh, not anymore now that Sully has a national title. You could argue it's negligibly worse but there really isn't an argument anymore to say Mainieri's time at LSU has been better than Sully's at Florida.

Sully is a very good coach regardless of his record this year, but he is also going to retire at Florida.

He tried to leave last year.

He was MUCHHHHHHHH closer to leaving than Paul ever was. They dont have a good following and he doesnt get much support from the administration. He actually almost left last year.

that was in 2016 and they made him the highest paid coach in college baseball (at the time) and are building a new stadium. They never got to the point of him almost leaving. They nipped it in the bud pretty early and signed him to a 10 year extension through the 2025 season

Sully has had way better pitching in his tenure and has arguably the same resume. He had 3 first round picks in his starting rotation and didn't win it all

Florida starts 5 or 6 Frosh, and they'll be pushing Omaha next year.
