arguably the same resume

two more trips to Omaha and 1 more SEC regular season title. He's also never missed the NCAAT, while Paul has twice. Like I said, it's negligibly better but it's still better. I merely said there is no argument to be made that Paul's resume is better anymore now that Sully has a national title.

you could. it would be laughable though

the new mantra of the pm defenders. it took some time and effort but i got them to back down from pm is as good as anyone to "negligibly worse"

I’ve actually always said it was a neglible difference, verbatim in fact. Feel free to check my post history

Don’t worry, your arguments on this topic are still, unfortunately, dumb

this is what cracks me up about the defenders. paul can't be expected to make it to the cws every year now because everyone else is now investing in the sport. yet they don't give sully credit for making it 7 of the last 9 years (pm less than half that). what's he's done in this era of cbaseball is astonishing.

pm has been really good. but to characterize lsu as just another good program is plain silly. lsu still has the largest investment in the sport by a long shot. this is where the pm defenders hilariously say that lsu isn't even in the top 3 in the sec for facilities. they've backed off the hardline but still have a ways to go in order to be more rational about the subject

yeah, citing records, statistics, doe figures. all that stuff is dumb. says the pm crew.

the main complaint about "my arguments" (w/l records aren't "mine" btw) was that they stopped at a certain point. then someone FINALLY posted the nc year and it barely moved the needle.

pm crew goalpost shifting:

i post cws records. "well, you should include one more year." someone does it. barely moves pm into the top 5 tied with several other lesser programs

"well, pm can't be expected to win it all every year." then, "sully/corbin don't win it all enough."

lsu has the largest investment in the sport but aren't getting that roi. "well, lsu isn't even in the top 3 in facilities in the sec." oh yeah? prove it. show me the schools that have indoor hitting, locker rooms, pt, premium areas as good as lsu. *crickets*

"well, other schools have caught up." i cite d.o.e. figures showing lsu spends AT LEAST $1mil MORE than #2, vandy.

"ok, ok. the difference is 'negligible'"

but MY arguments are "dumb"

That’s because I don’t think anyone out there right now could win enough consistently enough to really satisfy the LSU baseball fanbase.

Let me ask you a question. If team A and team B go to Omaha and team A loses the first two games and are eliminated and team B wins one game then loses the next 2 and is eliminated. Is team B considered to have a much better year than team A?
