You can stop pretending to be an Ohio State fan Ree. We all know it’s you
Braxton and JT were both very good running backs, but neither ever PASSED for more than 35 TDs in a season.
And neither ever threw for more than 3053 yards in a season.

I remember how high the stock was on Cardale Jones after he beat Bama.
Does he even play football anymore?

I doubt cordale Jones was at Ohio St same time as Joe burrow and I doubt braxston Miller was at Ohio St same time as Joe burrow

Cardale was a baller in college. The way they won the National Championship that season was incredible. I don’t think it’ll ever be repeated.

Wrong.
2015 QB room:
Braxton Miller SR
Cardale Jones JR
JT Barrett SO
Joe Burrow FR

You forget Haskins?
Haskins was not in that QB group with Miller and Jones. He came next season I think.

LSU recruited Barrett and Jones out of HS. And eventually recruited Burrow.

You're looking at my point, Gump. I didn't stutter. And, you were full of shite on your comment re: TDs by Barrett and Braxton. Your bullshite comment -

JT Barrett had over 50 TDS in a season. I think Braxton did too.

You still haven’t produced a point only stats that refute your assertion. J.T. Barrett holds all but 1 major career passing record at Ohio State and is 3rd in the aforementioned 1 category. He holds the passing TD record by 47 lol, the passing yardage record by over 2,000, he’s second in completion % which you criticized him for and he’s way ahead in attempts and completions. You’re not making any sense at all.

You can’t deny the insane amount of talent that Ohio State pumps out. No need to have hurt feelings over it.

Burrow is the QB he is today because of his hard work, the coaching and players at LSU
Absolutely true.

I'd like that to be true, but it is not. Per Joe's words he said verbatim that he would not be the player or person he is today if not for coach Day.

And Joe's comment can be taken 2 ways - Clearly Joe wouldn't be WHERE he is or WHAT he is if Day hadn't gone all-in on Haskins.
Burrow has a PhD in coach-speak - he grew up in the business. You'll never hear him have anything but glowing praise for any coach he discusses

On May 18, 2018, I sent a text to a friend in administration. It read, “Burrow is a difference maker. We needed this in a big way.”
It wasn’t b/c I had seen much film on Joe. It was b/c CUM thought enough of him to sign him out of high school and invest in his development.
CUM has many faults, but identifying a hs QB and developing him is not one of them. It was the reason I favored Fisher over O. But I was told O was aware of what we needed, and was going to do what was necessary to get it.
We still have some admins that act in the best interests of the program.

After being sent on a mission of research following an ill-advised post in an earlier thread, I am here to correct you my good sir.
It was JOHN Burrow in that quarterback room, not Joe.
I wonder what would have happened if Cardale had got hurt and they had to play Burrow...would Burrow even be here today?

I've already exposed you as the liar and fraud you are, Buckeye Jeaux… You can twist and turn those facts all you want Ree, as you are obviously already known as. The fact is that is exactly what JB said, and you can spin your BS opinions all you want..
Show mw where he said, concerning a link, as you requested of me, and I gave it to you, "Where shaking off the OSU rust from sitting on the bench is a fact...YOU CAN"T, because it is only your opinion... I would never believe a word you say.

Forgettable footnotes ? That's an incredible amount of QB talent in that short of a period. And the competition was real close between Joe and Haskins who went on to shatter a ton of Big Ten single season records last year and he threw for 50 TDs last year and is now starting for the Redskins. Plus they now have Justin Fields who will probably be the Heisman front runner going into next year. Forgettable footnotes ? Hardly
