This game has the feel of Miss state from last year when we had our first true road game and shitpumped them 41-14. Hopefully we can see a similar result.

Must win for Kelly tenure. If not this year than when? Next year the excuse will be offensive line and potentially QB
I dont think this is going to be the most talented team in Kelly’s tenure.
the “if not now then never” argument is flimsy.

I just made a large bet on LSU -6.5
Yeah good luck with that. LSU is such an unknown quantity at this point with injuries and lack of depth.
I have only been sure enough of a spread on an LSU game to "bet big" once. That was 2019 vs Texas A&M. It was Burrow's last home game and the year after the 74-72 bullshite. I bought in at LSU -17.5. I just felt like the Aggies were about to catch an arse-whipping, and that's exactly what happened

He also won the SEC and the Sugar Bowl in year 2. Did we win the SEC last year?
The point is that the program took a step back in Year 3 and that wasn’t a sign that the program was headed in the wrong direction. Progress isn’t always linear.

Do you think 2025 is going to be better or worse for LSU? What does that oline look like next year and what happens if Nuss leaves early?
You wanted to directly compare completely different situations and now you want to move the goal post.
Kelly underachieved last year. Got outclassed in game 1 and losing 5 games this year for Kelly would not be a sign of progress, at all.

I just bet on South Carolina which guarantees us a big win!

I think I understand what you are saying. Basically we are still headed towards a national championship soon. The progress is being made within the program, but we can’t see it because the appearance of progress outside of the program is more parabolic instead of linear.

I read once that line moves of 1 1/2 or more hit for the team the money is on about 58 percent. Hope that’s not true tomorrow.

I don’t want to do anything other than point out that the results of one you are not determinant of the future direction of the program. 7-5 this year isn’t any more disastrous than 8-5 was for Saban nor any more a harbinger of what is to come than 15-0 in 2019.
Not every indicator in the program is headed in a negative direction and not every decision is being made to maximize the outcome of this one season. The new defensive staff has had 2 games to change the trajectory on that side of the ball and zero recruiting classes of their own. It’s not time to burn the whole thing to the ground.
