I love Blair. He’s not calling things the exact moment he sees them during normal play. You don’t need that. He gets it right. When a big moment happens, he’s there right when he needs to be letting the crowd noise tell the story with his voice breaking in when it’s necessary.

This is exactly what happened. People praised Chris Blair’s voice and professionalism in that original thread about him only to use that as the reason they don’t like him after he was hired.

Jim was embarrassing toward the end. Although he was somehow still really good with basketball. Blair has been excellent. Maybe it took a year or two to get the right feel, but he’s absolutely a fan.

My ONLY complaint with Chris Blair is that he needs to come up with another description for an LSU Touchdown besides "Touchdown T I G E R S" after every score.
It's just too repetitive, like Hawthrone's "And he's in for the Score" after every touchdown.
C'mon Chris, just change it up a little bit...........

I always go back to the 2007 Auburn game when Derry Beckwith got hurt and he said it was Chase Pittman. Let me remind you that Pittman didn't wear the same number, is white not black and he also was no longer on the team.

Basketball was Jim’s original sport and what he was best at. Jim hated long baseball games as he got older and it really affected his calls. His passion for football was unmatched but he made plenty of mistakes there too.

Blair is fine, but he does take too long to convey what just happened, sometimes. That "Hey Now!" thing he does is pretty lame too.

Papoo couldn't do what they do...Especially basketball!!! Also enjoy mid week games with Doug and Buzzy!!! The banter between them bout pitchers and the rest of the team is good radio...Favorite comment was when Doug told Buzzy when Buzzy was in high school all he was, just a "Tackling Dummy" for Glenn Dorsey!!! Lol!!!
