I thought the 3d string guy didnt get any reps in practice... i.e...... the reason why JJ wasnt ready earlier in the season...

see this is the deal with alot of you who are pushing JJ as the future... the rules dont apply to both qbs.
If one doesnt do well its bc of play calls or coaching, the other has been in the "system for over a fuking year" however the fact of that is that he was 3rd string 90% of that time.

All im saying is let the rules apply to both..not to be used to prove your point or view, if it fits.

JL was not the 3rd string as of the start of spring practice so that doesn't hold water for me. I've seen what JJ can do with minimal preparation and it's already better than anything we saw JL do minus the Auburn game. I really thought we found something special after that game. The problem is JL never showed any progression through the season.

i agree with you 100%... but there's only one problem with that.. Neither did this whole entire team. Nobody wants the whole team to transfer or never play for LSU again.... the sad thing JL is only a fresh, most of the other guys that contributed to the RE-gression of this team were upperclassman. Can you help me understand that?

You do realize the "hold water thing" that you suggested ....its a difference of a couple months in preparation.. come on dude.,,that is what doesnt hold water.
At first you made it out that JL had over a year on JJ.. thats simply not true.

So JL hasn't had over a year with Crowton's playbook? Help ME understand why you refuse to believe that maybe, just maybe, JJ IS indeed better than JL.

You do realize that JLee's RS yr, he was behind Flynn, RP, and Hatch

He probably never even got to open the playbook

They all get a copy of the playbook. Whose fault is it that JL was too busy playing beer pong?

i like how you totally ignored the first paragraph, which was the main point....anyways once again I thought reps were more imptant and beneficial than staring down a playbook?

To say JJ is better than JL after no more PT than hes gotten is fuking dumb.. Im not trying to say JL is better than JJ, however to say that JJ is better after 6 qrts is stupid...It baffels me how some of you come to that conclusion after no more than youve seen of JJ...I tell you what,he cetianly needs to not pick up where he left off at ark.... 63 rds of off in 2nd half and 4 first downs, is not cut it... and thats a fact.

This is kind of a dead horse, but read the story again and you can see the difference between Matt Flynn and Jarrett Lee. It's not reps, or playing time as much as it is mental preparation, as well as what you do on your own time to prepare yourself to meet the opportunity of playing and showing your ability to be ready, not just to play when told to go play.

What MF's coaches say about him.

+1

I cant believe we are even talking about JL starting the bowl game. 3 weeks ago, everyone wanted JL benched.

You're stupidity is astounding!

JLee was #4 on the depth chart last yr, and was a RS. How much work do you actually think he got? How many reps with the guys he's throwing to this yr?

Do you think our #4 QB got 1 full series in practice, until the week that JLee went down, if he did then?
