No woman is worth having if she wants to keep you from watching a bigtime SEC game that LSU is playing in.

This is Virginia Tech's bye week.

Girls always use this excuse.

#3 LSU will play #11 Florida in primetime once...well, hopefully a bunch of times, but I think you get the point. He can always go hang out with GF's friends.

Actually it is more likely that LSU and Flordia will play a highly ranked match up in primetime, than this friend getting married again. Good try though.

My niece is getting married next March. Her fiance said "No wedding during Tiger football season. No wedding during duck or goose season. No wedding when it's hot." So she picked March. She's a Tiger too, so no way she'd pick a date during football season.

There is only one thing you can do...kill her.

I love how people say to man up and watch the game and stay home. A real man goes to the wedding with her if he thinks he has a long term future with that girl. I'm as big of a fan as the next guy, but at the end of the day, some weeks you have to bend a little to make room for the lady.

No man. Everybody has their "thing". For some men it's hunting, for others it's cars, blah, blah. On here, for the most part, it's LSU football. Now if the wedding were during a baseball or basketball game, or even a Saints game in my case, fine. I'll give in to that. Why? Because the 14 games that LSU will play (or potentially play) during the fall I WILL NOT, under any circumstances be phucked with. Period. My whole family knows. Even if LSU is on the road and I'm not going to the game, I will be with my tailgate crew watching it somewhere and will be unavailable for any other social family/friend gathering. They don't even ask anymore.

The friend getting married again is not what her argument was.

Like you said...good try though.

You must be the type of guy whose lady friend doesn't let him go to many games either. You must have a bunch of pretty nice little Saturday's at Home Depot and Bed Bath & Beyond...where do you find the time?

Well he said you can "hang out with her friends any other time"

Her friends wedding is not her "hanging out with friends"

Mine let's me go to/watch every game, and even more so because she knows I would be flexible if it was very important to her.

I'd like to add to this thread, although not the same, one of my friends is having an engagement party this saturday, she has given me the okay to skip the party (i would have done it anyway). A couple of months ago she told me about the date, Oct. 11, and me and my fiance immediately said no. Also, when I got engaged, my fiance and I chose April to get married, really is the best month, no chance of missing football, weather not too hot or cold.

On a final note, I missed my cousins wedding last year because of the LSU-Kentucky game, it's his fault. I made it to the reception in time to get drunk after the loss, but that was it. Remember, there are plenty of fish left in the sea, you can find a woman who will take your priorities into consideration. They exist, no way in hell i'd go if i were you. It seems your main excuse, is to get some pussy, sounds like you'd rather have that than LSU-Florida this saturday, wouldn't be mine, but to each his own.

Ok, since I am not a man anymore and have no balls, maybe you should understand the situation I am in. My girl lives an hour and a half away. I see her every other weekend and we have been dating for over 3 years. She knows I am a die hard Tiger fan and that I am very upset about this. The wedding, being in VA, is during the Virginia Tech bye week. She is slowly becoming a Tigers fan and knows how passionate I am about them. She avoids coming up to see me on weekends so I can watch the game in peace. This one was unavoidable. I love the girl and pretty much have no way to get out of it without ending up on the couch for the rest of my life. She is the one driving so I can get absolutely hammered (which I plan to do). All of you who say I have no marbles or am whipped, go screw yourselves. I guarantee that if the woman had your balls in the vice like mine, you would go to the wedding. My problem is allowing her to get my balls in the vice in the first place but I can't go back and change that now.

seems like you would be okay with her coming over to watch the game with you, it might help her to become a fan and improve your relationship

That's not what I was arguing...my point was to the poster who said the GF wanted him at the wedding "to show him off." If that's the case, then, yes, they can hang whenever.
