So you’re saying stick with Braswells .208 average in the lineup?

Braswell has done one thing well on offense in recent weeks- sacrifice. We need him up with less than 2 outs. He’s been able to advance guys and score runs with sac bunts and flys. If he can move bases and score runs, then his defense can stay on the field.

If the game is going like last night and Brazzy is repeatedly coming up with 2 away, we probably see Reeves again. He's a defensive downgrade, but we can probably get away with it if we have to. Hopefully we don’t.

We need Jones to give us the same thing with these struggles and it will take Jay MAKING him pull back for his and the team’s own good. If he can’t get hits, put one deep to the track in center and move base runners. He and Frey cannot K with RISP and fewer than 2 outs tonight. And they usually don’t at home, so you have to think at least Frey is due tonight.

So do you give him a chance to swing away with 2 outs or do you replace with Reeves early on if that situations arises?

I agree Frey is due but I also think Jones is due I just don’t know what’s going on because he normally crushes mid week pitchers and that’s virtually what he saw lastnight

Shores got exactly 4 (approximately) warmup pitches, none from the rubber. He was short tossing and had to go in. Beyond not ideal.

Braswell should be an automatic bunt with less than two outs and a runner on. Advance the runner and maybe they frick up fielding the bunt. Brawell up with a runner on 1st is just asking for a double play please.

I think you let him swing once in that situation and consider making a move if he golf swings again. If we grab an early lead and the momentum, it may not be necessary.

Jones should be due, but he’s so lost in his head, who knows what it will take to flip the switch. Maybe he needs a hit in the hands like Milam. He looked just as lost at the plate two weeks ago and now he looks like his 2024 self again.

If you put Frey at 3rd, a difficult grounder will automatically find him at a crucial time of the game. And if you put him there after he hasn't played there all year, his nervousness would be sky high, and rightfully so.

No, you absolutely cannot put him at 3rd.

Can we just get in the cages and unloaded 95 at Jones then? I’ll try anything at this point

Reaves should be able to hit this midweek pitching and give you offense even if he commits an error. It should make up for it. We really have not had a ton of balls to 3B and can bring in Braswell later.

I'd rather have Braswell bunt every time he goes up to the plate than have Reaves play 3B.

At the end of the day, this team should be beating ULAR so bad that Ray Charles can play 3B. Reaves can play it well enough for ULAR and just him lacing into that DP was more that Braswell has done with his bat other than a bunt in the last month to show he can hit this pitching to help us do that.

I am by no means endorsing Reaves taking over full time past tonight.

Braswell just needs to bunt every time up at this point. He either strikes out, or flies out.

I’m amazed a school like ark lr has a guy that pitches prob 6-7th In their rotation and shuts out lsu bats

I’m amazed that after 12 hours to cool down, these are the questions you have. All three are fricking retarded.

We only will need Evans and Cowan tonight. If we need more than we are fricked.

Of course not. You can play Reeves there. There is a downside of course which is defense. We aren't picking an MLB all-star team here. Even at college baseballs highest level there are trade offs and roller coaster performance differences. Braswell being our best hitter at the end of last season and arguably our worst right now speaks volumes to the volatility of the sport.

This crap right here is why my patience can’t hardly watch the game of baseball. Especially LSU. Look great one game and then completely lost the next game. Regardless of how good or bad the competition is.

Consistency. We dont have it.

Inconsistent teams dont fare well in tournament baseball.
