but being at night it does not seem quite as bad as the miserable Miss State game in the sun, sometime in the 1990s

1996. Rain, Sun, rain, Sun, rain, Sun…..the whole game. You could see the steam coming off the field.

Left after first drive. Sorry, this team is not that fun to watch and the crowd wasn’t into it either because of many reasons.
Selling all my tickets if anyone is interested. Just isn’t fun any more

You don't remember having 90+ degree days in September in South Louisiana?

So we march right down the field with Nuss dropping dimes and that wasn’t fun and you bail?

The only thing that matters is that the TV schedule put a lot of people in misery and danger, that has to stop. The morons who post about the people who left being drunks or out of shape, watching a football game should not be a test of endurance, it should be fun.

The worst I ever saw was the Aggie game in about 1991, I think it was a noon kickoff. The couple in front of me was bailing in the 2nd quarter, the lady stood up and just keeled over unconscious, the husband screaming for a medic like a battle scene in a war movie.

Woody, you have to talk to ESPN about this issue before someone dies.

LSU should never have a day game in September.

The people in charge talk about player safety. They change the rules of the game for that reason. Kickoffs are no longer an exciting play. Targeting rules, roughing the QB rules and rules against blind side blocks have been implemented.

But none of this costs money.

When tv comes into play they throw everything out the window. They’d play at high noon on the Sahara Desert if they could pocket a few more dollars.

TV runs the games. The tv audiences come first. They don’t need the fans at the games.

You’re not the first generation to be hot in Louisiana at a football game. Believe it or not, people used to pack the stadium donned in suit and tie, and dresses.

Yes they did, but kickoffs were at 8;00pm CST. Games lasted two hours and there were no tv timeouts.

I’ve sat on that side when it was like that and know exactly what you’re talking about. Arkansas has the same issue. If you make that trip, be careful on your seats.

Would be nice if LSU stocked more water for day games with heat indexes above 100 and sell them for around a $1 or so, not whatever exorbitant they currently charge for the Dasani. Would have cost me $200 to keep the family of 6 hydrated if we had opted to go.

It’s a damn travesty you even have to pay for water at games. LSU really is that fricking cheap.

Other stadiums I’ve been to have had stations where you can fill up your own bottle that you are allowed to bring in. Who knows maybe we should have those

People were allowed to bring in one unopened bottle up to 32 oz.

If I had gone I would have brought it in frozen.

LSU should have allowed more than 1. They ALWAYS run out when the weather is like yesterday's.

32oz isn’t nearly enough especially if you’ve been drinking.

There should be one of these for every section imo, but LSU is too cheap

I was on the west side and I was not myself. I left with about 3 minutes to go. I cheered on a couple big plays and had to quickly sit down because I was light headed and dizzy.

I usually criticize people leaving early but I do not blame them at all. It was miserable.

The climate is not changing. The people are.
