The network execs who schedule day games in Tiger Stadium should be required to sit in the east stands.
There was a time when the networks received death threats for scheduling such things in Tiger Stadium. The good ol' days.

You’re not the first generation to be hot in Louisiana at a football game. Believe it or not, people used to pack the stadium donned in suit and tie, and dresses.
LSU has played like 75% of games at night. The sun was blasting the entire east side.
The group I was with could have stuck it out, but all agreed it was crazy hot and didn’t know how some older people could have done it. We moved by a friend on the west side at half time and it was night and day better over there.

Would be nice if LSU stocked more water for day games with heat indexes above 100 and sell them for around a $1 or so, not whatever exorbitant they currently charge for the Dasani. Would have cost me $200 to keep the family of 6 hydrated if we had opted to go.

Stadium was full at the start. After 20 minutes of sitting in that sun I think a lot of people started to think about their priorities
Going for it near the 50 and turning the ball over was demoralizing, people started rolling out after that.

Day games in September should not be allowed.

That was fortunately a night game. It got up to 108° that afternoon

Yeah it looked brutal over there.

This game yesterday sounds more like the latter, a "sun" event, versus a "lethal heat" event.)
We were literally sitting in each other’s seats to keep them cool while they got concessions
It was definitely just a matter of a strong sun with no cloud cover. Like I said the west side held strong

I too am hard on people leaving. But yesterday gets an exception. When it starts to become dangerous i understand.

Has 2 of my party treated. Non drinkers. I would guess way more. I work outside in the sun. That was brutal with no breeze and jammed in to the next guy.

They ran out in my area long before you could have gotten to $200 worth of water

Landry needs to make the call on this. Not day games in September at TS.

That was years before global warming though.
Record high temperature in Baton Rouge on any September 21 was 100°F.
On September 21, 1921.

We had lots of people come move over to the student section second half … it appeared the security team was told to move over to our side also…
It was combination .. heat.. no clouds.. body heat.. entire game of sun on visitor side.. prior to game the stadium concrete heated up..
LSU always ask how to improve game day experience… hmmmm should be an easy one for them…it was a safety issue imo…

I sit on the east side and stayed the whole time but I was absolutely miserable. Don’t blame anyone for not dealing with that
Same. I hydrated well and didn't drink or eat too much at the tailgate and I was absolutely miserable. The gf took the 3 quarter off, resting in the concourse until the 4th.
I don't blame anyone for leaving early yesterday.
I stuck around b/c I'm a diehard retard. There's me!

And they didn’t have the upper decks which allowed airflow into the stadium.
Hell when it was just the west upper you still got some airflow. With the east upper added and then now the south closed in there is almost no circulation.

Got to somehow get games in September to only be played at night or 11:00 a.m.

Glad I DIDNT make it to this game. It was 90 here in Ga and I was very sympathetic to those who braved that heat. I was at 2002 miss st after the tropical storm and swore I’d never do another September day game.
